I would not recommend them.  The bay window was not repaired was repaired correctly.  It caused us further problems down the road.  A couple of the other things were just done quickly and more expensive than they needed to be.  They were good on communication but not great on the actual work.

They person that I talked over the phone is very polite. I had them several times and they've always done a good job. They seem to be very reliable. They're not the cheapest but the work was adequate. I like the people who came, I feel very comfortable.

I wasn't too please with them. They fixed the front stamps and we got to divide this for like 4 front stamps. The 4 front stamps were really good but the stamps through the bottom turned out pretty bad.

It was not as well as I expected. The cost was a lot. When the workman came here, he didn't have any paperwork as to what to do. We had to go find out what was going on.  I wouldn't use them again for anything.  I don't think they were very responsive to my needs. The person who came out was very nice but he misjudged what the problem was. He said that the deck was sinking/leaning and that is not what the problem was. If the work had been done properly, the price would have been okay.

They did a good job and I would probably hire them again if I had some other jobs that needed to be done. I used them many years ago for a deck that turned out very good. They had to replace the side door to the garage. I have not had any problems since they installed. It had to be a custom made door. They were here when they said they would be. They kept their commitments and they were on time.

It turned out awful. We made a plan to meet together and the guy couldn't keep the appointment, and when he could come out, I wasn't able to be at home, so I wasn't able to show him exactly what I was talking about even though I tried to describe it to him. Then they sent a guy out to fix it and the guy fixed half the problem and that was it. They replaced some of the wood trim, but not all of it. They were awful and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

The work that Pink Rose Handyman/Skyline Builders did was good, the work that they did was satisfactory. It turned out good. The glass is still there and it has not cracked. I don't have any recommendations for them to improve on the service. The only experience with them was that they made a reference for and which was not their fault. They made a reference for doing something else in the house, to go to a company and that company screwed up. It was not their fault, they just provided recommendation and we went with that recommendation and it was not a good one. We would recommend them and we kind of didn't have a problem with them. We would recommend them. We got a couple of other quotes at that time for the price. I had no issues with the quality. They were responsive. They were prompt.

Scheduled a date for an estimate.  Mark, the estimator was prompt, looked over the work and asked questions of us for clarification.
His estimate seemed reasonable so we decided to have the work done.  He told us they had an opening the next day if we would like the work done.  We accepted and Dave the deck tech was scheduled for 9 am the next morning.
Dave called at 8:45 telling us he would be here by 9.  He met with us and we explained to him what we wanted.  He looked over the work and went out to purchase the needed lumber and supplies.  Dave worked very well all day and did very a good job. The railing was reinstalled giving us the extra needed room on the deck surface.  For the top rail he had to either fit a piece in at the corner because of extending the railing out.  He didn't think he could get a piece of the TREX that would match so he gave us some other options.  Our top rails were a blond/beige.  He checked Home Depot and Lowes and could not get the same material.   He asked us if we would like brown or grey and if we wanted just to replace 1 top rail or all 3.   We told him to do all three.  They were a medium brown and made a nice contrast and look very good.  There was an upcharge for the extra rail materials.  We had no problem with that.
Dave cleaned up the site totally and even helped me move the gazebo to the correct position and orientation on the deck.
We were very pleased with Dave and Pink Rose Handyman.  We will use them again if needed.

I called Pink Rose, and we set an appointment for the following week.  Their representative showed up on time and provided the estimate for the work to be performed. I accepted the price and he began the work. The gentleman performing the work was very pleasant and made sure I was okay with the position of the mailbox and address plaque. After completing the first two jobs, he then proceeded to remove the old light fixture. He went out of his way to clean the wood trim high above the light fixture that a bird had done a job on. The total job took approximately 2 1/2 hrs. This was my first experience with Pink Rose.  I was very pleased with the quality of work, and I will definitely hire Pink Rose again.

Had to have $200 just to have then come out when other handy men do free price quotes. This took 4 weeks for them just to come out.
Then was told couldn't do job.  When their site says they do everything. Just for heck of it asked how much to replace 2 porch doors. $700 ya right. Suggest everyone shop around for free prices to do job.

"I believe this customer lives in a trailer and had a problem with mice getting into it. Our tech was to go out to determine the problem. When he got there he was to give an estimate to remove skirting around the trailer, crawl under it, remove floor insulation and inspect the problem for $100. And then an additional quote would be given to actually fix his problem once we could see what actually had to be done. When he got there [member name removed] was not home but I believe his daughter was. He incorrectly charged her $200 for this inspection without putting the explanation in writing on a work order and after he inspected the floor from under the trailer he he told her he couldn't do anything. When he returned to our office we realized his error and promptly mailed the homeowner his $200 check back. We apologize for this misunderstanding. Our quotes are free and fixed price unless we need to do some work in order to determine what actually has to be done. In which case that preliminary work is quoted with a fixed price and the homeowner can approve it or decline."

They had hoped to get the project completed in less than 2 weeks. But, due to rain it ended up taking almost 4 weeks. Tear down was completed in one day. Then the ground was leveled, new post holes were dug to accommodate the bigger deck plus the hot tub required extra support. Weed barrier was laid down and a lot of stone over that. In between rain storms, Mike laid the support beams, cut the composite and built a gorgeous deck..

They were okay the first time they came and this was the second time I used their service. They came out when they said they're going to come but they're definitely overpriced. The guy who came said that the work would take two days and he gave me a price. I thought it was expensive but that would be fine for two days' work. While he removed the fence, he ripped off my neighbor's bushes without even asking. He was done in 5 hours and he argued with me over the price. I tried to discuss it with the owner on the phone but he wouldn't let me get a word in and he was yelling at me. I personally wouldn't go back and I would NOT recommend them to anybody.

Our prices are fixed, not hourly, so if it takes longer or less time it doesn't matter. Our customers can get other estimates before approving one of our fixed price quotes. Joe Berardi"

Set up appt. to have estimate on screen door replacement for sliding patio door. Estimator provided estimate for screen, as well as for installation of new light fixture. He told us they no longer sourced screen door replacement at Lowe's due to poor fit / quality (which is where we got our existing screen). We agreed that we didn't want a similar (Lowe's) replacement screen installed.
Service man was prompt, called ahead, and very pleasant. He was unclear on the fact that the screen door was included in the estimate (his first week with company). He contacted main office / estimator and was told to go to Lowe's to get replacement screen!! (We refused to have the work completed.)
The service man did a great job on the light fixture, and we have no complaints about him.
We asked that the estimator call, as we wanted to discuss the situation, as well as wanting to have a clarification on the breakdown of cost for the screen replacement and the light installation (estimate was provided as a lump sum - no breakdown for labor, parts, etc.). We were promised a call back within 24 hours. It is a week later, and we've still not gotten a call back, regardless of the fact that we called and left a message, as well.
We won't use or recommend Pink Rose Handyman (the name under which we found this company) again.

We are very good at returning calls to the office and I'm surprised no one called you back. Perhaps you called the tech's cell number who quoted the job and it slipped. I will have the office look up the work order and go over it. Expect a call from me next week. 3/13/15 Joe Berardi"

First of all, when their guy came to give me an estimate, he never bothered to get up on a ladder and check out the damage. I described to him what the animal removal specialist saw when he was up there covering the hole for me, and he wrote it down and quoted me a price ($972) saying that he was familiar with the problem and didn't need to see it. He also intimated that I'd get a better discount than the $20 off coupon I had from the website (which didn't happen). The contractor arrived on time, and was professional and friendly. He told me he was new to the company, but not to the business, so I wasn't too concerned (he was an older guy). He listened to my description of events but did not go up and look for himself before going to the store for supplies. He was gone an hour and a half - two hours for supplies, then came back and got started. Originally, the squirrel removal guy told me the damaged area was around 14 feet long. However, according to the contractor, it was more than that and he had to go back to the store for more supplies (another hour and additional $200 on the bill). I wanted to argue with him about this, but my house was torn open and couldn't be left like that, I had no choice but to authorize it. He arrived at 8am and didn't finish until after 8pm! I don't understand why they only sent one guy to do the job. It took this guy over 9 hours to fix the problem (12 hrs minus the shopping breaks), and I know I got hosed on the price. Suddenly the $972 on the estimated work order included the coupon and the starting price was $992 + tax for a total of $1050. Then with the extra $200 they all of a sudden needed to charge me, I'm paying $1254. Though the guy did a good job, it wasn't worth the money or the hassle. I can't believe that at no time did they bother to examine the damage for themselves until after supplies were bought. That makes no sense to me. The contractor was supposed to be experienced. That seems like a rookie mistake. I learned a very expensive lesson.
Response from *DNC Pink Rose Home Service/Skyline Builders LLC

"Hi [member name removed], I agree, our tech initially pricing the job should have gotten on a ladder, but without taking the gutter off and opening up the soffit there really was no way to determine the extent of the damage which was much more than anticipated. This is what is called an unforeseen site condition and requires an addendum to the contract for more work. I understand that with the soffit open you felt like you had no choice but to authorize the addendum, but I assure you the price is fair and no different that our standard pricing methodology. I'm sorry you felt you were hosed but the work was done properly and is warrantied, and I believe the price is fair. Normally our techs work independently but can always ask for a laborer to help them and the price stays the same. Evidently, he didn't think he needed one. Additionally, the tech didn't charge you for the 2nd trip to the store. Regards, Joe Berardi"

diminsions, never talked to Mark and just overall gave me the impression he didn't want to do the work and over all didn't give me the impression of being competent.
When I asked how much more it may be he said possibly as much as $2000.00
By then I just wanted him out of my house and told him to have Mark call me. We couldn't reach him at the time.
I got a Call from Mr. Bardi who was over all loud, rude and unprofessional.
He said they had every right to raise the price if more work was needed, he couldn't help it if he couldn't get the job done by Jan. 25th that was my problem and said they never guarantee dates. However I told him I had it in 3 emails and he blew me off.
He continually argued with me, I finally asked him "what can we do to resolve this?"
No answer fro him, I realized he hung up on me or was disconnected.
I waited 5 minutes and no return call.
I then left.
I got a message that I pick up about 7 pm on a Friday night from him yelling at me-yet again-that i didn't not respond to his 3 pm call that I was suppose to make. I had no idea what he was talking about and found out later he texted my land line!
When I called Monday and asked for Mark I was told I had to only speak to Mr. Bardi, we finally connected and again he was loud, rude and unprofessional.
He finally asked me why I needed the work done and told him I was going into the hospital and needed it done by the time I got home. He said he couldn't get it done. I asked for my deposit back he yelled fine and hung up on me.
I had to wait 33 days for the return of the deposit and it was only for $784.20.
I'm still out for $215.80 They had purchased no materials for my job at the time!
I went to my town to complain and found out that there was already 2 other complaints against Skyline Builders and since this job didn't require a permit there wasn't much they could do.
I had to go back into the hospital 2 more times since the first surgery so I have not been able to take more action.
Response from *DNC Pink Rose Home Service/Skyline Builders LLC

"We're sorry for the misunderstanding. Our tech initially reporting to do the work told her that the price "could" go up because it is an old house and there may be unforeseen conditions in the walls and floor once opened up. This was explained to her when our estimator initially quoted the job as well, and is standard language in our contract. My tech was simply explaining about unforeseen conditions, that a price increase was only a possibility, not a guarantee. It's also standard language in all NYS approved contracts. He just wanted to give her a heads up and prevent any surprises and misunderstandings once the work began. [member name removed] didn't like this and asked him to leave her house and demanded to speak with me, the owner. I explained that this was perfectly normal and also as far as our scheduling, in remodeling sometimes people need to be flexible with scheduling as there are many factors that can change things such as the weather, extra work on jobs we are on from customer changes, Illness, etc. [member name removed] was very inflexible so we sent her her deposit back. We have a very good relationship with the Pittsford Building Departmant and I called them after reading this. They have no complaints on us."

I initially made contact with Pink Rose Handymen on the internet. They followed up with an email and a phone call. Once I called them back, they scheduled the appointment to take place within a few days. The night before my appointment, the handyman called me to reconfirm the appointment and also to ask about the job.
On the day of the service call, the handyman arrived on time, reviewed the job with me, gave me a written quote and then performed the job. He admitted that it took him a little longer than he though it would (about two hours), but the quality of the work seems good, and I have a written one year guarantee.
I did not shop around, but I was a little surprised that a job like this would cost $200. In any event, I was willing to pay it, and again, I have that one year guarantee.

I was particularly impressed at the way the design of the deck was presented to us. It was computer generated and could be viewed from several elevations.
The person who built my deck worked alone, was very experienced and thorough. My only complaint was that since he worked alone, the project took several weeks longer than I would have liked. Also I would have thought it would have been more efficient to have a helper. Those factors did not effect the quality of the job however.
There was one snafu that occurred. The driver who delivered the decking and pressure treated foundation materials (not employed by Skyline) was too close to our new house and when he raised the dump truck's box, the product slid too far and hit the corner of our house, damaging the siding and downspout. Joe, Skyline's owner, had the person who built the deck also fix the damage. You wouldn't have known this damage happened, as everything matched and was repaired like brand new.

The job was pricey compared to other estimates, but you could tell these guys knew what they were doing, gave me a good comfort level and the quality was worth it.

The men at Pink Rose really put the time and effort into finding a solution to the problem of matching and repairing damaged siding that has been discontinued. No other manufacturers of siding offered the same color and texture of siding that is on our home, so the repair wasn't as simple as purchasing some siding and repairing the damage. The solution was to remove a small area of siding from the back of our home, behind a built in shed. That siding was used to repair the areas of damage on the very visible front of the home, and now the front of our house looks as if it had never been damaged. The men doing the repair had been able to locate some siding material that was pretty similar to what was on our house, they then painted or finished those pieces in a color that was so very close to the color of our house, and installed that on the back of the home. I honestly could hardly tell the difference of the siding from the existing siding on our house, and the pieces that they had matched up to use.
The price quote from Pink Rose was the best that we were quoted, they showed up in a timely fashion for both the estimate as well as to begin work, and the repair work was fast and efficient. The workers were prompt, polite, and left the work areas neat and clean. We also called them back for a second small job soon after. They came to remove a huge pile of construction debris left by another contractor. The removal was done at a fraction of the cost of what it would have been if we hauled all of the debris to the street ourselves and paid for our usual trash company to take it away. Not only was every last bit of the trash and debris removed, but the area was swept up and left spotless!

I called Skyline handyman. They came over and asertained the problem and gave me an estimate. We signed the contract and they repaired the leak . They also reinforced other areas on the skylight to prevent future leaks and inspected the other three skylights to prevent future problems. Their work was professional and well done. Not much after that , Supper storm Sandy roared through the area and the skylights did not leak. I was pleased with teir work.
