I needed my House Trim, exterior Doors and Shutters painted and went on-line to get some qualified Vendors. I met with and received Quotes from 5 different Vendors. Although J&M Painting & Staining was not the lowest price, I selected them. My decision was based on the Quality of information and questions that Mike Mazzochetti provided, and his attention to detail and high standards in trying to understand what I wanted. He took the time to point out factors I had not considered, and wanted to go into the little details I expected so he could ensure they were included and completed. He was thorough, friendly and took the time to explain things to me, even though he knew he was just one of several companies quoting my job. He was genuinely concerned about what I wanted, not just throwing a fast quote out and hoping he would win. Also, in doing his reference checks, I discovered there were 2 business associates I know that used J&M Painting for their house. I know and trust those people and their Strong Positive Reviews were what “closed the deal” for me deciding on Mike and J&M Painting. He and his crew was professional, courteous, neat and very Quality oriented. They took the shutters down for painting, spray painted the fronts and backs the new color, and remounted them after cleaning the house area they would cover. They did a great job on prepping the trim, which included a lot a scraping. Some areas of trim had wood damage, and they made repairs. They also did a great job on caulking and making repairs to my Garage Door. I asked him to caulk the top of the gutters, and Mike explained that could cause some potential future rot. Instead, he re-bent the Splash Guard from the Roof to better/properly direct water INTO the Gutters, rather than let some water dribble down and then drip between the back of the gutter and the fascia board. Not really a “Painting” job, but they did that when they re-painted the exposed fascia. The drips are gone! I am also impressed with his insisting on and explaining “Threshold” paint and its durability. They did a Great job on the Doors and Thresholds. They had constant attention to Quality and Customer Service on every part of the job. When they finished, Mike wanted a walk around with me to ensure everything was to my expectations. No questions- it was! Next year I will be having the entire exterior repainted. Based on the Quality, Value and Service I received, I will be having the work done by Mike and J&M Painting.
