I hadn'tI believe trust in one's doctors (human or animal) is a very important thing. Since moving to Rochester 8 years ago, I've struggled to find a Vet that I could trust was providing reliable service. After 6 years, I found Jefferson Veterinarian and more importantly Dr. Scoda. The first thing I noticed was that all four cats immediately liked her (even a feral who had left all previous vets bruised and bloody). I've used her for multiple events ranging from wellness check-ups, to unknown illness and unfortunately putting two of my girls down when it was time. In all instances, she was attentive to the cats, willing to explain the procedure/issues with me in great detail when needed. She always presented new procedures/medicines with an explanation of value to my animal, cost to me and her opinion of if it was needed or not. There was no dispute when I made a decision. When it was each of my girls' time, she was supportive in helping me know i had made the right decision in the best interest of my girls. Her treatment of my pets gives me confidence that I am doing the best and can trust her recommendations and suggestions as what's in my pets best interest and I will continue to bring my pets to her as long as I can!

We have used the Jefferson veterinary hospital for more than10 years. Doctor Bryce has provided his services
on our older dog for many years. He was always there for our dog's needs through out his thirteen year life. Dr Bryce performed countless necessary treatments that kept our dogand quot; Dylanand quot;' healthy for all of his life. We have gotten another puppy,and quot; Bensonand quot;, and will continue to trust Jefferson Veterinary Hospital to take care our dog's health needs for his life.

I have been going to Jefferson Veterinary Hospital for about two years. Being a new pet owner and new to veterinarians, I consider myself extremely fortunate to have found such a great veterinarian from the start. I'm continually impressed by the amount of time Dr. Hauschildt will dedicate towards appointments, especially my first appointment where he spent a lot of time answering several questions I had about new pet ownership (e.g., vaccine, food, and grooming concerns). I also have to say that he has been great and very honest with not suggesting any unnecessary procedures or services for my pet.

This office and the examination rooms are very clean, and I have never waited more than five minutes for my appointment. In addition to the great veterinarians, the staff members are great as well. They have been wonderful at answering questions regarding pet concerns, and it is very evident that everyone at this office sincerely cares about your pet.

My husband brings his dogs to another vet and they charge double what Bryce does and do not know the animals like he does. Bryce is great with both my cat and dog. He never charges for things that don't need to be done. My dog broke his leg when he was a puppy and Bryce was great. Compared to what other vets wanted to charge, Bryce was very reasonable. He knows the pets by name when they come in. I have taken my pets to him for 4 years and will continue to do so.

My cat had sudden kidney failure at the age of 6 - very unexpected! She was at Jefferson Veterinary Hospital for two days, on IV fluids, getting blood work, an x-ray, etc. When I brought her into the office her temperature was dropping - Dr. Bryce later told me this is a sign her body was shutting down. It was an urgent situation, and they handled it with the utmost expertise and care. The first day she didn't show much improvement, but she picked up on the second day. Dr. Bryce sent her home for a trial at home, and she did really well. Unfortunately five months later she relapsed, and again had two days with them, fluids and tests. The second time Dr. Scoda was her and quot;primary veterinarianand quot;, and she also went above and beyond to help ensure my cat got the best possible care. When things weren't looking good, she did additional research on options for my cat, really taking into consideration my cat's personality. She proposed a number of alternatives for me to consider, and walked me through them so I could make the best decision for myself and my cat, and then know what I needed to do for her at home. When she continued deteriorating, Dr. Scoda and the Jefferson staff were incredibly supportive.
Throughout this difficult time, Jefferson Veterinary Hospital staff was everything I could have hoped for, and more. They were very attentive to her health situation and did everything they could to try and save her. Having worked with both Dr. Bryce and Dr. Scoda, I would comfortably trust my pet's care to either one of them. I have just as much confidence in the vet techs and office staff.
However, just mentioning their technical skill doesn't do them justice. My cat had helped me get through a lot, and given her relatively young age this was really hard for me. Not only was the staff very knowledgable, they were always incredibly warm and caring. They let me come and visit her when she was in the hospital, which I believed helped both me and her a lot. They got to know her personality, and they connected with her and cared for her while she was with them. They truly cared about me and my cat, and how we were both doing.
It was also very helpful to have their after-hours line - call until 10:30 at night and you get one of the vets. Since the alternative is the super-expensive Emergency Clinic, it's great to have this option.
Price-wise, I was afraid the bill would be over a thousand dollars - two days in the hospital, all the tests, the fluids, and all the care from the staff. Although the ~$650 bill wasn't cheap, it was fair and better than I'd been fearing.
I have friends who also take their pets to Jefferson Veterinary Hospital, and they've also found them to be very knowledgable and
caring. They really live their motto, and quot;where your pet is part of our familyand quot;. I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet.

The service was excellent. I can talk to Dr Bryce about anything. They are very compassionate and love the animals!

Great vet - Dr. Hauschildt and his whole staff are so caring about your pets. Not a long wait in the waiting area, fair prices. They are in a new location on Brighton/Henrietta TL Rd.

The vet is very nice and dealt well with my dog. He is very knowledgeable and very approachable.

I have never ran into any problems ever since I have been going to Dr. Hauschildt Veterinary. I do not recall waiting and the staff is great. You can tell they have a real passion for their work. They are a little bit expensive but it is definitely worth it.
