Service Provider Response
I understand that bed bugs are a very emotional pest for people. NO ONE likes to be made a meal when in a moment of respite. So, I totally get that people want instant success. However, that is not how the process works unless heat is used to raise the temperature in the room to 120 degrees for a minimum of 6 hours. As a small business, we currently do not have that capability. We do thoroughly explain our process and automatically schedule a 2 week followup. We schedule for that time frame to make a proper assessment of the infestation. The intial service was performed on July 27 which would make the followup date tomorrow Aug 10. We began receiving calls from the member to come back within 4 days and I explained that the process needed more time. Remember, we have to balance solving the issue with apply appropriately labeled materials in an appropriate manner to limit pesticide exposure. We did visit yesterday, 2 days early and feel that the situation is under control. Although a couple of live bugs were observed, they were on the treated area and would be dead soon. Most bugs that we observed were dead. I never abandon my customers so I have offered another 2 week followup to make sure problem is solved. I spend so much time explaining every process to the customer so they can understand what to expect. Bad reviews come along when the process is not allowed to play out.Service Provider Response
No one likes to get a bad review but this one proves that no matter how hard you try, you will never please everyone. When I first met [Member Name Removed] on Feb 08, 2017 and she told me that we were the 3rd company that she was hiring for the same problem, I should have been a little leary. However, after performing a thorough inspection of the property, we felt we had located any potential rodent access points and were confident we could solve the problem We do believe that we are the BEST pest control company in the area and looked forward to the opportunity to solve the problem. We came to an agreement for $300.00 for the service and we provided a 6 month warranty. All was well for 3 weeks and then [Member Name Removed] called us and said that she heard noise again. We returned on Feb 28. 2017. We got on hands and knees and crawled around the property and was able to locate an opening we had not seen before (that is why the warranty is in place). We sealed that opening and checked that she still had bait to control any mice that may have been left. The next 2 times we visited [Member Name Removed] were March 23rd (almost one month) and May 19th (almost two months). In neither case could any other openings be discovered or any signs of mice be observed. We were excited to go on May 19th because [Member Name Removed] had had blown in insulation put into the attic and that is the absolute best way to observe if mice are traveling in a crawlspace because they will leave little tunnels in the insulation. Any thing larger will leave trails in the insulation. When we inspected, there was nothing. At this point, we offered to place a trail cam to see if we could capture any images of what she was hearing. This is when we learned on May 24, 2017 that she had hired someone else. Although we made four visits to this property, we were unable to satisfy this customer so we are refunding 1/2 of the fee that was charged. We do find it a little strange that she lauded the abilities of another pest control company after one visit when clearly, the longest period that she went without contacting us was 2 months. In any event, we wish [Member Name Removed] well and hope that she finds the peace that she seeks.Termite Control is not offered.
