"I understand that bed bugs are a very emotional pest for people. NO ONE likes to be made a meal when in a moment of respite. So, I totally get that people want instant success. However, that is not how the process works unless heat is used to raise the temperature in the room to 120 degrees for a minimum of 6 hours. As a small business, we currently do not have that capability. We do thoroughly explain our process and automatically schedule a 2 week followup. We schedule for that time frame to make a proper assessment of the infestation. The intial service was performed on July 27 which would make the followup date tomorrow Aug 10. We began receiving calls from the member to come back within 4 days and I explained that the process needed more time. Remember, we have to balance solving the issue with apply appropriately labeled materials in an appropriate manner to limit pesticide exposure. We did visit yesterday, 2 days early and feel that the situation is under control. Although a couple of live bugs were observed, they were on the treated area and would be dead soon. Most bugs that we observed were dead. I never abandon my customers so I have offered another 2 week followup to make sure problem is solved. I spend so much time explaining every process to the customer so they can understand what to expect. Bad reviews come along when the process is not allowed to play out."
