They were prompt with the appointment, and did quality work. the basement is much brighter! And no worries about water leaking as these new windows are water tight. I would recommend them for this type of work

After I broke my basement window with my lawnmower, I called Vanguard to come out and estimate replacing the broken window with a glass block window. A sales person came out the next day, measured the window, showed me the choices for replacement, gave me the price and we scheduled the work to be done. The installer, George, was on-time, completed the work in a very timely fashion, and cleaned up after the job.

They replaced 3 basement windows with glass block versions - one has a dryer vent, the other two have fresh air vents. The company offered several choices of styles and venting. The windows look nice and we are satisfied with the work performed.

The installer was prompt and courteous. He arrived on time and started work right away. He estimated four hours, one hour per window, and ended right on time. He removed all debris and cleaned up after himself nicely.

The first tech came out to do the estimate and did so promptly and curteously. He even offered some advice on a couple of other projects around the house, which my wife appreciated. The second tech came out, also on time, got the project done quickly and efficiently, with no mess and no problems. He gave us advice on what to expect from the windows (like, don't use the vents for the first three days, things like that) and generally was a great service person to have in the house. We were very impressed overall with Vanguard and would have no problems at all hiring them again if we needed more window projects done in the futre. We will certainly be recommending them in the future.

I believe this company is understaffed. On the first scheduled date, I was called and told that since the receptionist/secretary was late in arriving, my installation would be delayed. By the time they finally arrived, it was so late that I had to postpone it. When the next scheduled installation date arrived, I was called and told that since several of his men were out because of the July 4 holiday, he would be late. About an hour later he called back to say that the large window had been cracked, and that they could come tomorrow to install the windows. He also reduced the price from $443 to $399 to compensate me for the inconvenience. The next day the installer arrived promptly and completed the installation in 2.5 hours. I was very satisfied with his work and clean up.

Excellent job. John installed two on one day and prepped for the rest. The next day all the windows were installed, the concrete joins were smoothed and all of the old debris was removed. We are very happy with the speed of the install and the windows are even nicer than we hoped for. John was absolutely professional about doing everything we wanted, competitively priced, on time and fast. We could not be happier with the results.

I asked for an estimate online they called the next day and after I returned the call the saleman was here at the time scheduled, measured our windows and gave us the price. The installer was here on time and completed the work in just about an hour. Windows look great and the basement is much warmer now.

The person who came first was very professional, answered any questions I had and told us what we would be looking at as far as the price is concerned. We did some shopping around, but, decided to use them. What they quoted us in the initial bid is what we were charged after the work, so, it was very good. They actually incorporated a little bid of a discount in to it because I had coupons. I thought their price was phenomenal and I got lifetime guarantee from them. They put us in to their schedule at the best they could, came when they said they would and were done with the work a little sooner than they estimated.

The estimator called to let me know he was available earlier if I was on our scheduled estimate day 10/15/2009. Estimator arrived explained their product and perform a walk through of our basement area. Estimator explained my options and suggested optimal locations for vents. Estimate was written on site using a standard company form. Estimator confirmed with me what was written and followed up with pointing out the location of each window based on the form. Our installation was scheduled for 10/27/2009 and the installer arrived on time. Installer came prepared with everything he needed. The installer quickly removed the old windows and showed me the units that would be newly installed. Installer and I walked around the property to insure the windows as built off site were correct and would be installed in the appropriate locations. After I confirmed the installer quickly prepared his mortar and had all five new windows installed. Total time was approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. The job was completed and the work site was cleaned up faster than I expected.

The salesman arrived on time, looked things over, sent an estimate that matched the advertisement. The mason, a dedicated craftsman, did an excellent job, cleaned up, took away the old windows and did the work in a timely manner. Very pleased with the job.

The estimator was very prompt and polite. The appointment to install was scheduled for a week after the estimator came out. The installer (Rob) was a very nice guy who did the work on a rainy day which caused him to take longer than he normally would. I couldnt be happier with the result.

They came on the day that we could be there. It only took him one hour to put the two windows in the basement. The sales rep. and the window installer were very friendly.
