Work was good but I thought price was excessive. Charged as bid but I (perhaps naively) was under the impression that the job would take several man hours. It took two man hours with the resulting cost being over $500/man-hour which I think is excessive.

Mark from Gatti Plumbing came over to unclog our bathroom sink drain. He was very friendly and finished the work quickly. He took the time to clean up the area after he was done. I have used Gatti an the past and have always been happy with the work.

Tech arrived right on time (with a phone call as he was on the way). The suspicion was that he'd have to snake but he wanted to pull the toilet and look first. He did and he could clearly see a plug in the toilet itself. He took a bucket and ran water directly down the drain to determine that there didn't seem to be any need for a snake. Then he cleared the plug, reinstalled the toilet / wax ring and verified the flushing (it did fine). He did notice that water flow into the bowl was suboptimal (older toilet - calcium build up). He gave me some advice, got me my invoice and headed off. Tech was super personable, did his work quickly and efficiently and there was no upsell for a new toilet (which may be needed down the road). Price was reasonable for the hours worth of work (no snake needed).

The hot water heater is working well. There were a few hiccups along the way, but they were resolved. I didn't realize I needed a power vented hot water heater, but Gatti was able to have someone bring out the correct one after they arrived. There wasn't hot water the next day, but someone from Gatti came out when I called and resolved the issue.

I read reviews on Angie's List and chose Gatti Plumbing because they say they can do same day repairs. They were so professional, from the person on the phone to Tommy who arrived right on time! He was great! He discovered that our disposal had been leaking for awhile and was able to replace it on the spot. You may think, "he's just trying to upsell", but Tommy showed us the problem and we could see it. Our Friday the 13th had a happy ending to the story, all the work was done in an hour, new pipes, new disposal and at a very reasonable cost! I will always call Gatti for any future plumbing needs!

Responsiveness they were really good about that. I would not use them again.

Bruce and the scheduler who helped me with this appointment were Angels, when I explained I was on Disability they worked with me. I WILL hire them back to correct another companies mistakes. Thank You!!!

Actual service by Don the plumber was most excellent ! The - leak difficult and time consuming to locate but quickly fixed once found. There were some issues with actually getting service. I asked for an early appointment because I had a list of multiple items I wanted to look at and I knew finding the leak in the wall would be difficult. I very clearly requested to be texted to confirm I was home because my Frontier landline is down more than it is up and cell phone voice coverage is spotty at my house but text is very reliable When the technical called me at 8am and it dropped directly into voice mail they bounced me from the schedule and pushed me to a late afternoon appointment that ended up running against the 5pm start of overtime charges.

They sent an estimator to the house the following week and he took down the information. After waiting for a an estimate, he told me he needed to come back to the house to check the back lines too. Well, he decided that because my basement was finished off, he couldn't do the back lines. They wanted to run lines through my basement. Long story, short, I waited for the estimate for the front 2 lines. The cost was astronomical. So, I asked for a detailed itemized list of services and materials. I also asked for an explanation on a clause in the quote that stated if they encountered roots or rocks for the excavation, an additional charge may be needed. So I asked, "when you excavate, doesn't that usually involve rocks and roots"? I also required a copy of the insurance certificate. I never heard back from these guys. So get this, I received an estimate from another outfit, and they quoted both front and back for replacement, excavation and materials for less than half of Gatti for only the front two lines. I had the work done recently and they (the other outfit) did a great job. My recommendation for folks, be careful of this company. They do fair work. But I think that is where the fairness ends. To not even respond back to me is unprofessional, and a bit shady. If you need BIG plumbing work done, get a few estimates (even if you have to pay for them). Ask the tough questions, if they balk at those questions, don't hire them. I am a former contractor, and I would not hire anyone who hesitates, or doesn't respond. I also would not expect to be hired if I did the same and I certainly would not expect a favorable review!

Excellent scheduling, they really value your time and have been able to get someone out to our home for repairs same day. They take credit card and have very fair upfront pricing. Gentlemen who have come for repairs are professional and really know their stuff! I have no concerns recommending them to my friends and family and we will use again and again if needed.

They installed a clean-out outside my house 5 feet from the wall which I was unaware they were going to do. It is a very good idea to have this in the event the line needs to be snaked or flushed in the future, they can do it from outside the home. They also somehow managed to work around a 10' Juniper which I had fully expected would need to be removed as it seemed to be directly over the pipe. They had advised me that they would leave the dirt mounded over the dig site and I would need to take care of it. After a couple weeks the dirt in the trench settled so the mounded dirt came in handy for filling the hole. They had to cut the insulation on the basement wall around the Y for installation. They taped it back up with insulation tape and it looks good as new. After excavating and finding the break, they used a camera to check out the rest of the line. They found rather large rocks had made their way into the line which I had fully expected after seeing how the top of the pipe had completely collapsed. I opted to pay a little extra and have it flushed now rather than have problems later and pay even more for a flush and a service fee. Two things that I noted of slight concern. The previously mentioned clean-out, even with the extra dirt over the trench was still 10" above the normal ground level. Also when they reconnected my sump pump (PVC) lines to the new Y they installed in the wall, it was not plumbed vertically which kind of makes the sump pump tilt a little. I called Carlo and explained my concerns. He asked that I take a picture and send it to him for the file. He said that once the dirt has finally settled in the hole and it is to the correct height to call them and they will fix both issues at the same time. Overall they did a great job. They came out and gave me an estimate the day after I called. The next day I signed the contract and they called Dig Safe NY to mark the utilities. As soon as everything was flagged, they came out the next day around 8:30 as promised. I believe the whole job was done by 11:30.

He did a really great job. He is clean, efficient, responsive, professional, and had all the tools he needed to complete the job. When he needed something, he would get on his tablet and was able to print off the bill from the tablet to a printer in his truck.

What a great company with knowledgeable plumbers! Tom came in, looked at the work to be done and said "I got this" and went to work. He was finished within 2 hours which was what the quoted time was. He cleaned up and was extremely friendly. I highly recommend, as I have had them do multiple jobs in my house in the last ten years with no issues.

The tank to our toilet cracked, in the evening, making it impossible to keep it water tight. Called Gatti Plumming; was told they did not stock the kind of toilet I needed but could get it the next day. They told me how I could use the cracked tank until they could get to me the next day. Tom, Gatti Plumming's Service Rep, came on time, had the requested toilet and necessary tools for the job. Tom was very professional & timely in replacing the broken toilet with the new. He was very precise in cleaning up as the job progressed. Overall I was very pleased with the service rendered, the price given which included the toilet, and would call them again with any future plumming issues.

Called Sunday morning of Memorial Day weekend because the pipe to the toilet was rattling violently. Tech was out within an hour. Brian was great - friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to answer questions regarding other concerns. Work was completed within an hour. Great experience. Planning to have them come back to do some more work.

The lady I spoke to on the phone was courteous. She told me the price to come out to the house up front. The plumber that came out was friendly and and told me exactly what was needed and showed me what he was going to do. The price was fair and I would return without hesitation.
