Plumbing. He did a great job getting rid of the clog. Our toilet was
close to 50 years old, so he replaced that at the same time. Everything
works great.
The price was worth it to us to have the problem solved quickly and a high quality toilet put in.
We have used Fischer Plumbing for all our emergency needs over the past 30 years. Always prompt, courteous, professional.
We have been very satisfied and will continue to use them for all our plumbing needs!
Brad, the tech, looked at our cracked pipe and under the sink. He noted that part of a pipe under the sink also needed replacing and made this sound more complicated than it was. He gave me an estimate for $443 and said he could do the work immediately if I wanted. Because I wanted it done, I said yes. In about 30 minutes he was done. He did not provide an itemized bill for the work which I feel he should have. Interestingly, when he was writing up the bill and giving me the Angies List discount ($25), he kept writing $200 something and realized his mistake, changing it to $400 something, plus tax, etc. Perhaps a Freudian slip? I really feel that I was taken advantage of and that I should have gotten another estimate. I've dealt with a number of plumbers and they were never this expensive for this simple project work. I've had whole vanities installed for $200. I just won't use them again and do not recommend this practice of not itemizing on a estimate. Poor way to do business.
I was pleased with the extensive repairs and replacement parts installed. The plumber, Elliot, was very pleasant and easy to work with. He explained everything to me and gave me options on what I could do, the costs of each option without trying to influence me. He completed the work in about 5 hours without taking break. The new faucets and disposal are a nice improvement in my home and I am pleased with how everything looks and works. There were only two things I was not 100% pleased with: I was scheduled for a 9am appointment and called at 930am when I hadn't heard anything. I was told Elliot was running late and they would call when he was coming They called at1015am, and he got here at about 1030am. A phone call telling me this at 9am would have been nice. The other thing was there were slippery spots in front of both sinks (from over-spray of silicon spray or WD40 or something) that could have resulted in a fall.
Over-all: very happy with the work.
complain. I will continue to use them.
