"Ms. contacted the office on a Friday 7/6/12 and emailed pictures of the yard area. We do not give estimates over the phone. Mrs. did not set up an appointment to meet with me. I went there in the early part of the following week. No one was at home to meet with, so I called her on the phone. We spoke for about 10 minutes. Ms. informed me that what she really wanted was someone to level the area for a pool and assemble a “pool kit” they had purchased from a retail store. She indicated that she was talking to several contractors, and had spoken with pool contractors prior to contacting Birchcrest. She reported that pool contractors were either unwilling to do the job, or too high priced for her. I told her we did not offer pool assembly service. She asked that I give her a quote on what we could do. I told her the area was fairly inaccessible, with a chain link fence and a steep slope preventing good access to the area. The slope of the area would require a lot of grading work and maybe a short retaining wall. Pricing for that area would be at least $2,000. She said that was more than they could afford. I offered some advice and suggestions, and helped her out the best I could. Ms. called back about 30 minutes later, after I had left the property, and asked that I look at a different area of the yard to see if that area would be better. I told her I would the next time I was in the neighborhood. I have not been back there yet. She filed this report on Saturday, 7/14. I called her as soon as I saw the Angie’s List report (7/20/12) and told her I hadn’t been back yet as this is a very busy time of year and I had been on vacation Friday & Monday. She was on her way to work & didn’t have time to talk, but thanked me."
