Well after a couple of weeks we noticed that the connection was leaking. I made another appointment and explained the problem. I was wondering if we would be charged for the service call, since it could be argued that the leak was really a new problem. I was prepared to argue that I would rather have fixed it by replacing the old connection. So a little bit frustrated.
After the tech replaced the connector, I asked him, ' I expected to pay for the part, but do I owe you for a service call as well? ' "No, just the part. I explained it all to my supervisor." said the tech. Wow, I really did not expect that. I had to argue with a plumber in the past about paying him just to look at a problem and then again when he fixed it, so to actually back up their work instead of making me pay for a new repair, is very impressive. Hats off to Appliance Tec. They saw the problem and fixed it instead of arguing about who had the correct point. I highly recommend their work and their service. Very happy.

Can't comment on price because the work was done under an extended warranty.
As a side note, the process Appliance Tec uses is pretty slick. An email exchange gets everything set/confirmed. Then a final email provides a web address that lets you track the tech to determine where he is to estimate when he will show up. He also calls as he nears your location. When the work was done, I signed off on a tablet that contained all of the information.
These folks do nice work and are "digitally capable". Highly recommended.

They also re-calibrated the temperature on a GE Electric oven for $75.55 in 12/16/09.
