"We are of course very disappointed to hear that the Member was unhappy with her experience with us. This project was associated with the Rochester Historical society. It was actually their representative that caused an unnecessary delay while the project was in progress. The story behind this is long but I do want to say that in the end, the specification in question was being installed correctly by our roofing crew. I would also like to comment on the fact that their project did cost more than the original estimate. The fact that additional unforeseen work sometimes comes up during a project is not unusual in construction, especially when any type of demolition is involved. There is no way for a construction company to know what will be revealed once materials are torn off and the underlying materials are exposed. We are forthcoming about this and sometimes we even quote pricing ahead of time on possible issues that may be found once a job is in progress. However, knowing exactly what conditions are going to be found is impossible. In the end, the roofing system we installed for this homeowner met all of the specifications in our contract and has performed without issue since installation which was almost 6 years ago."

"We are very sorry for the experience that the member had with the estimator that visited his home. At the original appointment, the estimator gave the member an approximate figure of what he thought the job might cost. When he returned to the office and atcually put the details together with the material pricing, he realized he had made a mistake. He met with the member to cover these details with him. This estimator was inexperienced and went outside our company practices by quoting a price before confirming all of the details. He no longer works for our company. Our estimators now are all very experienced and have been with the company anywhere from 7 to 25 years."
