My air duct cleaning was completed correctly and efficiently.  They did a very thorough job with taping off all vents except the one being worked on.  This was a large job with a large industrial-looking vacuum attached to the ducts in the basement and a high pressure air hose to clean out the vents throughout the house.  My vents in my 1939 built house may have never been cleaned before based on what they looked like before the clean, but they were nearly spotless afterward.  The tech was at my house from 8 AM until about 3 PM working hard the entire time.  While the cost was a bit high, it was pretty reasonable compared to other estimates I was given for this type of service.  There are cheaper types of service where the tech would use a vacuum hose into each vent, but that's not nearly the same level of thorough cleaning and I was trying to combat some asthma issues.  I told the tech that I was doing this service because of asthma and he was very careful to keep the dust contained.  The filter on the vacuum after the cleaning was horrendously dirty and the asthma issues lessened and faded after this service was completed.  I will definitely be using Airquip again in the future.

Excellent, arrived on time with a prior phone call.  It took about an hour, the inspection was complete.  I was advised afterward of the state of my furnace.  I bought a 2 year contract for my furnace and air conditioner.  Provides me peace of mind

We purchased our house in July and it's now February so the weather is quite cold. We had issues with the heat pump system as it was not heating the house sufficiently (we're new to heat pumps, having only used gas previously). The person on the phone was very courteous and provided a lot of advice and help over the phone. This removed the need to have a technician show up on site, saving us time and money. We will certainly make use of them in the future for our cooling and heating needs as I feel they have earned my trust.

It went well. The service person spent a lot of time showing me everything that wasn't right and how to fix it. I appreciate his honesty and I think if the same problem happends again, I could fix it myself. It eas basically replacing some bad wires and cleaning up where a relay had exploded. He replaced the blown part and replaced bad wires. Things are working great now!

From the time I met the guy in the Home Depot store to the time Ben walked out my door, AirQuip was very professional and did an awesome job. Both employees were very engaging and knowledgeable about the industry (I ask a lot of questions). Ben, the technician that came out, was very knowledgeable and did not seem to mind that I was looking over his shoulder asking a lot of questions about what he was doing. I appreciate that he was willing to answer my questions and was very polite and professional. THANKS BEN ---- AWESome job!!!! I would recommend Ben and AirQuip for this type of service.

AirQuip was very professional and thorough from start to finish. They are highly knowledgeable about their field, install a high quality (Trane) product, and do not cut corners. They sent three or four technicians, worked quickly and efficiently, and left the work area spotless. When they discovered that one of the cold air returns was insufficient inside one of the apartments, they retrofitted it with a larger opening at no extra charge.

It all comes down to ownership.  The owner of this company, Mark Hoffman, will not stand behind his work.  They charge premium prices, but do not deliver the product or services as specified.
 
RARES does not encourage any of its members to utilize the repair or installation services of Energy-Wise/AirQuip.  This is not a reputable company.
Mr. Hoffman has hired legal counsel to try and have the RARES Association remove this posting and the information we present to our membership from the RARES web site.  We believe our members have  right to know that this is not a company they should do business with.  We will continue to post this notice and to let our members and others know about the practices of Energy-Wise and/or AirQuip until they stand by their products and service.  Would you want to deal with a company where instead of standing behind their work, they threatened you with legal action when you complained about their services?

I was happy with them, they were very good. It was not an easy job but they got it done. They are personable and clean. They put down matting so they wouldn't get the rug dirty. The head of the company was very cordial and honest with the amount he quoted for the job.

The parts and labor for the repair were covered under warranty. The problem was difficult to find. The technician really dug deep to find out what was wrong, made some phone calls, talked to the factory to find out what was the likely cause of the problem. They ordered parts, installed them, and it was fixed. I was pretty happy.

When I purchased my home last Fall I noticed that the furnace hadn't been cleaned in many years. I gave Airquip a call and they arrived in a timely manner. The technician offered a reasonably priced maintenance program that covered both my furnace and air conditioner and it actually included that day's cleaning as well. When it was time to clean the air conditioner this Spring the technician found a problem. Because the cleaning agreement provides a service discount the extra charge was minimal. Everyone I encountered at Airquip was friendly and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I ended up buying a service agreement to have it cleaned out yearly. They were very responsive. The serviceman that came was very professional, he explained everything to me, he did great work, and he was in and out quickly. I think they are everything that you look for in a service provider.

I am very happy with them. I had interviewed some of the top heating and air conditioning contractors in Rochester. I noticed that all of them with one exception came driving Buicks and Chevys and had gold chains on. They didn't really seem to have a good grasp of some questions that I asked. When I called Airquip the owner of the company came dressed in a uniform in a service truck. He had all the answers and I gave him the business. Their prices were very competitive for the same equipment. I contracted with them for cleanings.
