We the (Account Number 20-7666908) were Petro’s Happy and satisfied customers for past 4.5 Years since the first day we bought our house. We had service agreement with Petro the whole time and we have always paid our bills, sometimes we were late, but it never got to a point were Petro would not deliver us Oil. At the beginning of the new year 2022 we decided to upgrade for central air conditioning so instead of calling out for other companies we trusted Petro again for the installation, so Petro started the process with submitting for getting permit from the town. And we were all waiting for the permit from town. Same time we were still dealing with the damaged caused by the Hurricane Ida 2021 where our whole basement got flooded and we had to appeal FEMA since we were not located in disaster zone, so we did not receive enough aid by FEMA, so we had to apply for Small Business Administration Loan. Which was approved and to be paid to us in different phases as we go with the renovation. We had to do the whole house mold remediation and basement flood cut where remediation company had to rip everything in the basement. Also, we hired a landscaping company our basement water proofing by installing new French drains around the house from the 1st payment we have received form SBA. Right before town approved for Central Air Conditioning, we saw our basement flooded again because our Hot Water Heater went out of its life and started leaking. Even though we had a service agreement with Petro; we were not informed during the last inspection about our hot water heater replacement, Same time just days apart our chimney needed to be inspected again by Petro and found out that the chimney need new metal pipes and cap etc. So now we have multiple fixtures at the same time mean a lot of payments. We have paid upfront for the Chimney service and got financed for hot water heater through Synchrony Bank (Petro’s Referral) Town approved for AC Installation; The total cost for AC was $7395.00, we have already made the payment plan with Petro to pay 25% (1850.00) upfront and remaining $5,545.00 on next bill, this plan was made before the realization of Chimney Work and Hot Water Heater replacement. During the AC Installation process, drill bit came out of Petro’s Technician’s Drill and broke our waster it delayed the whole process for another more or less 2 weeks, adding us have make multiple rounds of laundromat (our month worth of laundry was in the basement when water heater broke, so we were redoing it when the washer broke by Petro’s technician) however we had to keep going so we spend extra time going to laundromat taking days off from work (not making money and spending money for laundry). We were still thinking that somehow, we will manage to pay off the remaining amount of Central AC by working extra shifts on next bill. Since a lot was happening at the same time, Basement Waterproofing company billed us extra $7000.00 because of front porch demolition and then pouring the concrete back and the original quotation for more than 6 months old so rate and material prices have been changed since. Our case manager at SBA was changed and new case manager still never approved the remaining amount of the loan. All the above-mentioned series of events one after another left us with no money in our account we were living on cheque to cheque. At this point, we were not in the position to pay $5,545.00 in once single bill. We kept trying to contact PETRO through calls almost every day, during our work lunch breaks or on our days off but its always so busy that we are on hold for 50 minutes and then call dropped. Eventually one day our call got connected, we explained the whole issue and billing department said they cannot do anything we have to talk to our sales rep. Mr. Glen. We contacted Mr. Glen and over multiple time back n forth talking to him, he said we need to call Synchrony Bank since they financed us for hot water heater and tell them to increase our credit and make it a single bill for heater and ac, but the bank refused. We got back to Petro Billing than told to go back to Mr. Glen, Mr. Glen said “OK, will talk to Credit Department to make a 4- or 5-month installment plan for us”. We were waiting, each month we keep getting new bill with increased (late charge) amount. We called Petro again, Petro said sorry cant help, talk to Mr. Glen, talked to Mr. Glen and the new response is that “Petro told him to do probably a new Account for us etc. we still need to make the whole payment in one bill”. We told Petro that we are running out of Heating Oil, even though we are automatic deliveries Petro is not delivering 11/28/2022 we are downed to less than half of a quarter of tank. So, we decided to call another company (COD OIL) for temporary one-time delivery of 150 gallon of oil so we do not freeze in winter with our 3 little kids and hopping that during this time Petro will give us some payment plan. COD Oil charged us and scheduled a delivery for 11/30/2022. Today instead of Oil Delivery we got the money back in our bank account with a voice message on our phone that they cannot deliver us oil since they are sisters with Petro. First, we must close our account with Petro and clear the balances than they will deliver us OIL. Now the situation is that we do not have Oil in our tank, we do not have $6500 in our bank account to pay Petro one bill, we hardly have enough to go through other necessary expenses. We did not even try to make a new monthly deal with any other company. We just needed enough to go through so we can work out something with Petro. What kind of business you guys are doing. That is not a way to treat years old customer by telling other companies to not to deliver to them. If you carefully read the whole article, you should be sensible enough to understand here that Petro is the reason we did not know about our Hot Water Heater replacement, OR Chimney Service the money we paid over years for service agreement what service we got inspection wise. If we had it known on time about water heater or chimney, we would have planned it differently, we could have waited another year for CENTRAL AC. Its not like we do not want to pay or never paid in the past. All we wanted was a flexible payment plan. Well, that’s cruelty not delivering OIL to a house with little children and on top of that preventing us from getting it from somewhere else. We humbly request you to please act immediately and fix our account, make the delivery, and send us new bill on monthly installments for the actual and fair amount of $5,545.00 (AC Installation). Fact: There is no way that we can pay all at once. Temporary option we have is to get oil delivered from a 3rd company; Or the only option will be left for us is to contact Department of Public Service to seek justice if we do not hear back from you, or get oil delivered. or cannot get it from somewhere else because of brotherhood or sisterhood with Petro and other companies. Note: We are not angry, we just keep getting cold with no oil, we will really appreciate the helpful response from you. Thanks
