Workers came late. They were supposed to come early in the morning. Came late afternoon The workers spoke only Portuguese and the company did not send a supervisor or anyone to translate. Although the workers tried to accommodate and were very willing and nice, it was impossible to communicate. In the end there are still problems with the poly finish . I must add that in the end , the management tried somewhat to help but in general, the whole experience took much longer than proposed and was not very professional.

My hardwood floors were not in the worst shape, so, I was reassured by Mark that the job wouldn't be too difficult. We had all of the hardwood floors and staircase done. The crew was professional and friendly and worked tirelessly to get the job done within two days, in advance of us moving in to our new home. I went with a darker matte stain and the completed work is beautiful! I recommend their services.

I hired Healthy Home services to refinish my wood floors because he provided a very competitive quote on the phone which included moving my furniture and refinishing the floors in one half of the apartment and then moving the furniture again to do the other half. My contact there, Mark, said that this was standard and was included in the quoted rate, and I sent him pictures of the furniture and floors to be sure. I received a written proposal and got a start date. Mark said that I should be in touch with Carlos, his operations manager to coordinate after that. Carlos had to reschedule the start date, which was fine. We scheduled another start date, but when his team showed up they said there was too much furniture to move and couldn't do the job. So I called Carlos, and he said it would cost an additional $300 to move the furniture which I accepted, and we scheduled another date. On the start date, Carlos' team showed up and again refused to do the work, even with the extra $300. When I called Carlos, he said that he would have to get a moving crew in and that the cost would be another $600, above the $300, on top of the original quote, and I agreed. So Carlos' team showed up again and refused to do the job. I called Mark and Carlos to complain and Mark told me the Carlos would go to the site himself and help with the furniture. That night I texted Carlos to find out how the job was going, but he didn't text me back. The next night the superintendent of my building called to ask when my flooring team was planning to start - apparently they never started the job. This team is clearly unreliable and lack even basic internal communications. I wouldn't waste my time with Healthy Home Services.

This company is great when it comes to sanding and varnishing wood floors. They did my friend living room floor and the end result was a 5 stars job. In addition to refinishing her living room floor they did some floor molding work. The molding job was below average. The molding was unevenly cut, and the wood was not consistent in color, so when it was stained it did not match Hindsight, I did not get the impression that they did much molding work based on the uneven cuts. I ended up hiring someone else to fix the molding and paint it white. My friend is an elderly lady, the guys from this company blew a fuse and did not inform her. She had to go down steep sawdust-covered basement stairs (which the workers failed to clean up after) and turn the fuse back on. Overall, this is a good company that does excellent floor refinishing, but less than average floor molding work.

We are moving into a house that needed the carpeting removed and floors refinished. Mark set me up with a quick service appointment at a very reasonable price. The crew did a great job and our floors look beautiful now. They explained the whole process and they worked hard to get out all of the stains on the floors. Highly recommended!
