Estimate was very competitive, and time frame given won the job. Estimate did not include cost of paint, so I wish they provided more specifics to more accurately compare costs. Otherwise, Greg was super nice and responsive and open about his opinion but wouldn't recommend anything specific - he'd defer to you to let you make up your mind and task him with the job (color, finish, etc.) He wants the customer to be happy. Minor imperfections on the wall was expected, since they were not sanding down every square inch, just problem areas of the damaged walls. However there were just some lazy things missed (paint drippings on walls or along baseboard and wainscoting, not filling in holes/gaps on walls before priming, or not removing a nail that was mistakenly left on the wall and rolling paint right over). One major issue is the paint provided. Doing a lot of research, I chose Benjamin Moore for the quality of the paint, not just colors. The discount paint provided was purchased at Sherwin-Williams, which color matches any swatch you provide. In most cases, they're pretty close, but not exact, so now if I ever have touch-ups and wish to buy paint, I have to continually buy another paint company's version of the paint I actually wanted otherwise the color won't ever quite match up exactly. Additionally, the final room was rushed. Recently I touched up some crown molding and baseboards and when removing the low level adhesive painter's tape, it peeled off large sections of the paint of the room. Upon inspection, it pulled the single layer of wall paint, exposing the dusty drywall of the room - it appears that no primer was used to seal the wall, just a single thin layer which would explain why it so easily peeled off. I would've happily paid for another worker or overtime to finish the job urgently but to save time and money at the expense of a proper painting would be unacceptable. Touching up some minor painting on my own turned into a 3-day process needing to sand the wall to smooth out areas, prime and paint. I imagine exterior painting would be a breeze but if you're big on details and are picky in your specific wants for your home, I would not recommend unless you can monitor the progress or be very upfront and specific about the job you need done. Especially since upon inspection, one painter was seen frequently on his phone and had progressed very little in the final stages after nearly 2 days of work. Would recommend for easy jobs since they are priced pretty fairly, but I learned that the other estimates I received were due to the amount of work they intended to put in that others do not.

They spent a week at my house and everything was perfect. I'm so happy with the work they did. They are the only painters I will ever use. If they are busy, I would wait!

The folks at All American did an All American job for my wife and i. We had a crack in a ceiling that was caused by a terrible hail storm a few years back. This crack resulted in about 25% of the ceiling having to be replaced and repaired. In addition we wanted the entire ceiling to be sanded flat instead of the rough exterior that we previously had. This part of the job took three days in very careful hands. We also had patchwork in our kitchen ceiling since a fluorescent fixture that was taken down because of high hats had plaster work to make it blend with the rest of the ceiling. Also, a job that took concentration to make it just perfect .Greg, the owner was cooperative in every way. His price was fair, because we had a number of estimates and he had done work for a relative so I knew All American could do the kind of job we expected.
Two men worked four days on the job. Their prep and cleanup was awesome. We had very little to clean even after the job was done.Greg checked the job often and was very willing to make any adjustments that we felt were necessary.
I have no trouble giving them a big thumbs up and recommending them to all here on Angie's List and my 'Go-To' painters.

They really spent time on the preparation which is so important. They caulked, scraped and sanded the sophets, fashiers,  moulding, doors and cedar clapboard. They sprayed a house cleaner on all necessary areas. They primed the house and gave it two coats. When they advised me to replace some rotted shakes, they coordinated their work with the carpenter.  They worked six days a week. Any questions or concerns I had were answered by this knowledgeable team. I intend to call them for interior painting.

Greg and his team were awesome! we are so happy with the results. The
price was more than reasonable and they took a lot of time patching up
and priming our walls - I cannot believe how good it looks. Extremely happy with results. would definitely recommend.

The work was done promptly and in a very professional manner. Greg did not do any of the work himself, but he did check the progress of the job and crew, which took a full week to complete. I would definitely recommend All-American Painting for exterior painting.

The owner and two helpers arrived on time in the morning (around 9am) and stayed through until the job was finished (around 2:30pm). They removed an incredibly stubborn wallpaper off every square inch of the kitchen, washed off the glue, evened out the walls, filled in holes, and put on a fresh coat of primer. Ironically, I didn't hire them to do any actual painting however given how well they prepped the place I would not hesitate in having them do a paint job.

VERY WELL, though I am going to give you all the details, including the little foxes. The day after we agreed to the job, the owner whom we thought was the painter, Greg, came back to show "his worker" what had to be done and introduced him. We were told the worker would be here at 7:30 am on Saturday. 2 guys arrived at 8:30. We never saw the boss again but these two guys were great. They were respectful, worked meticulously and knew their job. There wasn't much communication, though, as to what they were doing, when they were leaving and returning etc. We were supplying the paint, but they had no spackle or rollers with them. So they had to first go to a home improvement store to buy some. The first day, it didn't seem like they accomplished much, especially when we had the bedroom entirely empty for them to work. All they accomplished was the spackling of the bedroom and painted its ceiling and the trim. We were on a tight deadline to have all the work done in just 4 days and after the first, we never thought they would make it, thinking they should have been further ahead after one full day. The second day, while they again arrived an hour later than expected, they made faster progress. They finished the entire bedroom (IT LOOKED WONDERFUL! THEY DID AN AWESOME JOB!) and they did all of the spackling of the other areas and centered most of the living room furniture. The third day, they arrived at 8:00 am and worked, incredibly, with our approval, UNTIL 11:30 pm! They finished everything that had to be done one day under the deadline. At the end, we saw a couple of small issues, which despite the late hour, they graciously took care of them. EVERYTHING LOOKS FABULOUS! They also offered to come back to take care of an extra little job for us. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE GUYS. Three small gripes: 1) There was a bulge in a hallway wall, which they said they couldn't fix with spackle, but, a friend, who paints as a side job, easily evened out the wall with spackle. 2) They did a pretty good job cleaning up their stuff in the rooms. However, they left the bathroom sink where they cleaned their brushes and rollers a mess and spackle dust on the hallway stairs. 3) They didn't offer to move any of the living room furniture back (it was we (women) who moved the wall unit to the middle and we will now have to move it back).

Overall I was fairly pleased with their work. There was some unfinished trim that could have been done a little bit better that I had wished. I am positive they would come back to touch it up but I have not bothered.

Excellent. I called and left a voice mail; got a call back very soon afterwards. We scheduled an appointment soon after the initial contact. They kept the appointment and performed the work as discussed. They worked speedily, independently, and cleaned up everything. I am VERY happy with the work, and I will call them again in the future.

Greg came promptly to see the job and submitted a reasonable estimate, compared to others we received. He started the job on the date planned and finished it with great promptness. The work was excellent and his painters were clean and pleasant. I can recommend this company without any hesitation and I am planning to have him back to do more work!

The work was done beautifully, and neatly, and the employees were on time and very polite and responsive to all requests. The proprietor of the company is a stickler for detail, and insisted that every little finishing touch was taken care of.

WE NEEDED A NEW LOOK IN OUR HOME, GETTING IT PAINTED WAS JUST PART OF THE PLAN. ALL AMERICAN PAINTING MADE THE WALLS LOOK SO FRESH AND CLEAN AGAIN. THE ROOMS WERE BRIGHTER AND LOOKED NEATER.
