It's sad to say this customer did not have the money to pay for the work we agreed upon and did perfectly. The craftsamanship was excellent as usual. She only left this review after we placed a lien on her property for non-payment. I have pictures of the entire project and would be happy to share them with any member who would like to make their own conclusion.Service Provider Response
Homeowner called me and and said he was having a leak in his shower and wanted me to send one of my guys to look at it. I gave him a name and number of a plumber who couldn't get there as quick as he liked. I said I would send one of my guys to look at it but he is not my plumber. When he got there he saw water dripping from the ceiling in several spots. The plumbing on the house had to be 50 or 60 years old and since he told my guy the leak was in the Bathtub my guy didn't look behind the refrigerator in the kitchen. I'm sorry he had a bad experience but I did what I could to try and help. I had my guy drive an hour and a half to get there and see if he could do anything at no charge. I guess he is upset I didn't charge for this emergency service which I had told him to call a plumber for in the first place.Service Provider Response

First I would like to address all of the items she is stating on her review. The customer is stating that my crew was sloppy and didnt prep the areas prior to starting. I will be attaching photos to show otherwise. As for her refrigerator when I was there to give her an estimate she was complaining that she needed a new refrigerator because it wasnt working properly. After one day of sanding some plasterwork she said we killed her refrigerator and PC Richards has the same one for $630.00. A little odd that she would know the price and model number and when it can be delivered, so quickly. I said I would have an appliance repair guy from her neighborhood take a look at it. He said it was a very old refrigerator and that some dust from one day of sanding could not kill the motor in one day. I said no problem please fix it and I paid him for the repair. Next she says that she gave the porter a $100 tip because he had to clean up after us every day. We not only put paper in the hallways every day but we also cleaned up at the end of every day. I also Gave her $100 credit for this, even though I know it was untrue. The Super of the building told my foreman to be careful with this lady because she has a track record for getting work done and not paying the people. Had my Foreman told me this before we started, I would have given her the deposit back and not proceeded with the project. She also said that I needed to pay her $100 for her cleaning lady to clean the apartment after we were done. We did a complete bathroom remodel on a very old plaster lathe wall building, so yes there would be some dust. We took care to tape all door gaps and cover cabinets with plastic and tape (Pictures to follow) however some dust will escape. I agreed to the $100 cleaning lady fee because my Customers are very important to me and will do what I can to accomodate them. As for the door and window frames they were the old metal type which had probably 30 coats of paint on them. I explained in order to make them look right, I would need to use a paint stripper to bring the to bare metal and still couldnt guarantee a perfect finish due to the numerous dents in the moldings. She said she didnt want to pay the extra cost and also didnt want any fumes from paint strippers to harm her cat. So we scraped as much as we could and repainted. I agree they are not that pretty but there is only so much we can do when something is in such bad shape and the price to do it properly is out of the question. Again I would never pressure my customers to spend more than they want to. After the project was completed, the Customer said she had a punch list of a couple of items. (Which is normal) I sent 2 guys over the next day to complete the punch list. She sent me a text that everything was beautiful and Thanked me. The next day she calls me again and said while she was cleaning up she noticed a few other items that she didnt put on the previous punch list. I again said no problem and sent 2 guys over the very next day to complete. She called me and said the guys did a wonderful job and she was ready to pay the balance. I took a credit card payment from her and told her Thank you for your business. After receiving the payment, the next day she said that she found more issues that she didnt see the first 2 times. i again told her to make a list and i will send the guys over to complete. (This is a four room apartment with a bathroom and we didnt touch one of the rooms, so it basically took her 3 days to look at 3 rooms and determine she forgot some items) After she sent me the Punch List I again sent my crew there to complete. I told her to Please make sure she didnt miss anything else as this is the 3rd. Punch List we are going back for. She text me and said everything was great and she Thanked me. I was very curious to see why my guys had to go back 3 times and they told me they were fixing things that were not even on my contract just to make her happy. The next day again she calls and tells me that they need to come back for yet another Punch List. At this point I said that what would it take for us not to come back because at this point I see this would be a never ending battle. She said she wanted a $1000 credit back to her card. I agreed and made her sign that there would be no other recourse if she received her refund. I processed the refund and she said Thank You. I thought since she was given everything she asked for that it would be the end, however she then posts this review. I understand that sometimes there are a couple of items that are not done to the customers satisfaction so that is what a Punch List is for but after 3 Punch Lists it is a little exessive. i have been in this business for 30 years and never had more than 1 Punch List on any job, including really big houses. To have 3 Punch Lists on a 3 room apartment is un heard of. As soon as I can figure out how to post my pictures please look to see the quality of the work and the prep we did to ensure as little dust as possible in order to make your own decision. Thank YouService Provider Response
When dealing with all of our clients our main focus is to give them a quality remodel project and to make the process as easy as possible. We are involved in each part of the process from design to completion and we spend a lot of time with each of our clients. Unfortunately, because we spend so much time with each client, sometimes we may not be able to instantly meet with a new client for an estimate. We do admit that initially there was a delay in setting an appointment with you. After speaking with you about your plans for the project, though, we set an appointment time for the following Saturday. When we called on Saturday morning to confirm our appointment, you texted back to say you were canceling. We wish you the best with your bathroom remodel and apologize for any inconvenience.
