We were very pleased with the job both times and would recommend this company without hesitation.

They were good and I would recommend them. I thought their price was fair. So far everything is good. It took a while to get somebody here because of the hurricane but once they came, it was good.

Contacted A-1 Roofing through Angie's List. We dealt with a young man named John who came over for the estimate exactly when he said he would. John was very friendly and totally honest and gave us a very resonable and compatible estimate. John came on time like he said (7:15 a.m.) with a full crew and equippment and was done by 11:30 a.m. The crew was very professional and when done they totally cleaned up. It was like they were never even here. I would highly recommend A-1 to all. They deserve an A+ across the board

My house is a few years away from needing a new roof. I decided to call a roofing contractor to get some general maintenance done in certain areas of my roof that were starting to deteriorate. A-1 Roofing and Siding was very professional and experienced contractor. They kept all scheduled appointments on time. I had them do some repairs and general maintenace to my roof. After getting an estimate and agreeing to have the work done, a two man crew was sent the next afternoon. After finishing, any work debris was cleaned up and halled away. I was very satisfied with the work and would use them again. f

Excellent job from the estimate to the work done. They had to come back and forth to complete the job because of the weather. Each time they cleaned up and when the work was completed a follow up visit took place to determine our satisfaction. We had noticed an area of the roof that needed additional attention. It was immediately attended to and that responsiveness was very impressive.

The job went very well. I did not want the new leader to be attached to the porch column. They were able to extend the gutter across the side of the porch and attach it to the existing leader against the house. This cost a little more, but the gutter looks perfect and does not detract from the beauty of the porch column. The work was performed meticulously, and I am very pleased with the result.

A-1 Roofing and Siding were great. They came for the estimate when they said they would, gave me a compatible estimate and what to expect from the job. Started when they said, even earlier knowing how important the work needed to be done before another rain storm came. The men were prompt, clean and professional, They did a better job then what was even discussed for the estimate. I couldn't be happier with the job and company. Would use them again!!

They came on time, full crew and very professional, very accommodating. I was very pleased with the overall experience. They did everything as promised and more. P.S. I found them on Angie's List - A good find!

I called the company on Monday and they performed the work on Wednesday.

When I called for an estate, I got a return call promptly. John the owner came when he said he would be there and he gave me the estate and them mailed the more detailed completed written estate to me. He explained that his price would be a little higher since he used copper rather than aluminum to do the flashing. Due to bad weather he called promptly to let me know that they could not do the work on the given day and gave me another day. The men installing the flashing came on the new day, they were a a few minutes late but explained their delay, which was valid. They did a very good job. Finished in one day. Cleaned up and did not leave anything for me to dispose of. I would use them again.

A representative came that same day and estimated the cost of repair-- removal of the roof tiles, replacement with new tiles, etc. He told me they would do the repairs in a few days, which they did, calling the day before to let me know they were coming. The crew did the repairs and cleaned up, so that I did not even see signs of their having been there. The representative was polite and courteous. Subsequently, there have been heavy rains, the latest from hurricane Irene. No leaks yet!

I got their name from Angie's List and I was very impressed with them. I had interviewed them and a couple of other companies and I had made a decision to use them. We then had a rain storm and my roof started leaking. I called them on a Sunday and they called me right back. He was very responsive and I think he came that day itself to put some tarpol over the roof. He came the next day and had his men fix my roof so that it wouldn't leak. They did all this without me having a signed contract. They were really great. I then signed the contract, and he was able to finance the roof with a company that offered me zero interest. The longest it took me was to pick the color of the roof. He gave me a list of customers and I went and looked at their roofs. I even talked to a couple of them over the phone and everybody was really happy with the company. I had them come and they did the work within the right amount of time. They cleaned everything up. The roof looks beautiful and it never leaked after that. I was so impressed that they came and fixed my leaking roof for free without me having even signed a contract. All I had said was that I was going to use them. I was amazed and couldn't believe it. They were so good and I was very happy with them. They gave me the best price of anybody, and they even financed it.I would never use anybody else if i ever needed such work done again.

I scheduled the appointment on Wednesday, John came in to take a look on Friday and gave me the estimate. A few hours later I called to schedule the repair and his receptionist said John would call back shortly. Saturday morning, John called saying he can send someone to do the repairs that afternoon and no one needed to be there if we weren't available. That afternoon one of John's workers came around, and fixed the window siding in 45 minutes and the roof in 45 minutes. It rained alittle the other day and no leak coming from the ceiling. So far, so good. Waiting for another heavy storm to come around to make sure all is good with the roof, but all in all service was quick, easy and painless. I would recommend A-1 to anyone.

The work was done on two different days and was performed quickly in a professional, courteous manner. Workers always showed up exactly when they were supposed to. The price was competitive and there were no attempts to sell additional, costly services.

A-1 Roofing answered the telephone and came to shovel off the roof the following morning. The owner followed-up the next day to break up the ice and make sure the gutter on the second story was running. He asked about the age of the roof and said it looked fine. I decided to go ahead with a new roof, and A-1 Roofing was competitive with the other quotes I received. I spoke with John about installing the DCI SmartVent on the back of my house which has no eaves. He said it might help and would work well with the ridge vent, and his supplier carried it. One day in late March, ten guys arrived and were tearing off the old roof by 7:30 a.m. They used ice barrier in all valleys, on edges, and around all chimneys, exhaust pipes, and skylights. The job was complete by mid-afternoon and the clean-up was as professional and meticulous as the rest of their work.

I had a leak in my dining room ceiling next to a skylight. John returned my call and came for the estimate 2 days later. He is very nice and professional and We agreed on the price which was not really cheap but nothing is cheap nowadays and set the job for 3 days later. John said he would call me the night before they came. It rained most of that week and after the week passed I called A1 back. His dad returned my call and set a new job date. They came and did the job and were very nice and fast. They were very competent and cleaned up the work site and I am glad I called them. Now I am waiting for a really hard rain to see if the leak is repaired but now the sun shines all week. I would use them again with no hesitation.

This company was great; called me back in a timely manner and did the job quickly, neatly and efficiently. I'm always afraid with small jobs that I'll have a hard time getting a good professional to do it so I was pleasantly surprised. The price was also very reasonable. My husband thought it would cost about $600 and it only cost $400. Great company!

This was a positive experience from the start. John was the guy who gave me the job quote originally, and was on site with a large crew the whole day. The materials had been dropped off the day before. The work started with protective tarps and plywood being placed all around the property. The old roof rip off went quickly, with most of the material being dropped directly into a truck positioned near the house. Although plenty of stray material inevitably found its way to the ground, this was entirely cleaned up by day's end. The new installation appeared to go equally smoothly. Upon final inspection, I was very pleased with the appearance of the roof and the copper flashing. I could tell just be looking at it that the installation of the vent flashing and other trim pieces was much better than what I had inherited when I bought the home. By the time John and the crew left (only being paid at that point, when it was confirmed I was satisfied), my property was virtually spotless, with only a few bits of plastic and some shingle stone visible. I don't think anyone else would know a crew had been there. As the final test, it rained steadily that night, and I had no sign of any leaks or problems. I would definitely recommend A-1 to another homeowner. They were not the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but I got the right gut feeling from the start, and for me it paid off.

They finished in one day and they were very reliable.

It went great. I found this company to be the most responsive and knowledgeable, and they came out quickly to do an estimate (even in the middle of tons of snow!) The job was scheduled around us, and we were very happy with this company. We definitely plan on using them again in the future.

They responded quickly to my phone call and came out and gave me an estimate. They were really nice and honest. The owner came out and made me feel really comfortable about doing the work. I had a leak over my side door, and they came over and redid that portion of the roof. They did a fabulous job and detailed everything they did. They did the job in one day. They were excellent. I haven't had any problems since. They did the work while I was not here. The cleanup and everything was wonderful. After the work was done they sent me a bill. It was easy. I had literally gone up there to see the work that they had done.

The owner of A-1 came out to the house the minute I called and evaluated the problem as he saw it. He scheduled the repair immediately..came as promised and did a fabulous job! he cleaned everything up so well that it was two days later before I realized he had even arrived! A very reliable and efficient company. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

John was punctial for the estimate quick to schedule the work and flexible with payment options. He even let me split up over 2 months to ease the financial burden on me. The work was done very well you can hardly tell where the repairs where made. Much better than other companies who were late and wanted to sell me an entire roof and needed money up front. john took no money until I was home from work and was able to inspect the work my self.

The men (3) arrived early and set up the scaffolds. The removal of the old vinyl and wood began and progressed around the house. Since we have a hip roof, all 4 sides had to be done. After the work was done, the men did a good clean up. Later that day we were contacted and asked how everything went. After saying we approved of everything, did we then pay for the job. It looks real nice and we are pleased.
