We just moved to our new old home. First Inspection recommended to run a complete electric network check up, starting with a fix for a double tapping on a very old brake box. Alan came and took the time to explain us all the elements involved on home electrical basics including dos and donts. That help us not just to run first reparations but understand risks and priorities in electrical repair plan in a long term basis.

I called regarding the dead circuit Monday morning. Patrick and Alan arrived Monday afternoon and spent three hours troubleshooting. The problem was not fully resolved on Monday, and they had to return on Wednesday. (Scheduling conflicts prevented them from returning on Tuesday.) They spent four hours completing the troubleshooting and repairing the dead circuit. There turned out to be problems with multiple circuits, likely stemming from some remodeling we had done 15 years ago (by a different contractor). In addition to repairing the original defective circuit, they deactivated another circuit that was incorrectly and unsafely cross-wired to a third circuit, and they replaced an unsafe 20-amp breaker on that third circuit with the correct 15-amp breaker. I had no idea my house wiring was so messed up. They cleaned up all debris and put all switches, outlets, and fixtures back the way they were. Everything works fine now. A thoroughly professional job.

Service was provided within an hour of my call; Patrick let me watch what he was doing and explained in detail what he was doing. The repair was done in a very timely manner and the cost very reasonable. Overall, a very positive transaction. I would call them again without hesitation.

The work went extremely well. The contractor was in direct contact with the owner, and worked on the job site, He responded quickly to scope the job, and to answer the owner's subsequent questions. He proposed small changes based on his experience that the owner readily accepted as worthy improvements. The work recognized the purpose resulting in excellent solutions that complemented the exterior rehabilitation. The contractor responded quickly and punctually to coordinate details and fit the several steps into another contractor's exterior siding schedule. I have never before experienced the professionalism, preparedness, and onsite rapid, focused execution by a person and teamwork of a crew. I regard Canal Town Electric highly,

The quote and service were right on. The service was prompt and very clean. They did not try to oversell me one bit and I really liked that.

the owner alan was very nice and knew his stuff. his assistant was knowledgeable but did not follow through. the day they were here his assistant was leaving early which apparently alan was unaware of. due to this the assistant rushed to get his work done. the closet with the crawl space was not cleaned up ~ it was a mess. the door to the crawl space was broken which i was not told about. i contacted alan ~his assistant showed up the next day to measure for a new one. i have not seen him again.

excellent, Alan was very professional, was prompt with estimates, questions and details required. The job was done well by him and his crew. Even when unforeseen problems occured, the crew made sure to pinpoint the problem and fixed it.

Good work, bad attitude. I requested that Alan adjust his invoice to reflect the travel fee he had quoted me over the phone. He denied overcharging me, then asked if I was going to fight him over such a small difference. He honored the lower price, but told me in a sarcastic tone that he should charge me extra anyway for helping me program my timer.

They arrived right on time in the morning and finished all the required work in one day. The owner along with one other electrician did all the work, both were very friendly and professional. When they finished, they cleaned up all their debris which I have found rare for a contractor. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and I will have them back again to do additional electrical work.

Very well. Steve knows his stuff. I called on a Friday afternoon and they said they (lucky for us) had an opening Monday am. Steve was right on time. I showed him what we needed done and off he went. It did take longer than he or I expected, but the work was done and everything works and looks great. He also showed me some other things that he thinks we should do down the road.

Alan was very personable and knowledgeable. He gave us an estimate that was accurate for the work done. He negotiated a price with us based on some shared preparation work (our choice-he would've done the work himself, it just would have cost us more). The work was done in a timely fashion, though he is busy. We have had not trouble with the work he's done. He also showed us how to fix some track lighting in another part of the house (for free).

They were very good, they were very professional, there was something that showed after they did the work and they were willing to come back and fix the problem. They didn't charge me for it.

Canal Town Electric does very good work. They showed up on time, actually even a little early. They came out a couple of days before to inspect the area of the pond before the job so that he could be prepare. That reflects very good on them and their professionalism.

I had used them before and was happy with their work. It is evident they did a good job since I have no trouble getting in or out of the garage with the new opener. I did not think the price was unusually high or out of line.

They performed the job well and in a short time and made a good suggestion to add functionality. Very professional and friendly, basically kept to the estimate I was given over the phone. This is the second time I used them for electrical work. I would recommend them.

They did a great job. I had used them in 4/05 to install an emergency generator panel and additional circuits and was impressed with their speed and price, so I had them bid on this new work. They came when promised, did all the work and even vacuumed when they were done. Highly recommended.
