They serviced the sewing machine as requested.  It was working, but needed lubrication and a tuneup.  They called regarding the vacuum.  The repairs would have cost more than a machine of that age was worth.  The canister vacuum was purchased from Sears 8 years ago.  Parts of the machine still work fine, so I brought the old machine home and purchased a new vacuum from Aspenleiter Vacuum.  We were not charged for the diagnosis of the problem.

The hose for my vacuum was damaged and I thought I'd have to buy a new vacuum cleaner. However, Aspenleiter was able to cut the damaged hose off the two ends (the end that fits into the vacuum and the end that takes the various accessories) and replace it. I have used them in the past when something has been caught in the  hose that I could not get out and I have purchased replacement accessories from them (rather than from the manufacturer which would have cost a lot more). They are just terrific!

The people at Aspenleiter vacuum were friendly and gave me good advice on how to prevent other potential problems.  They also sell vacuum bags which is good to know since I had not found any locally before.  I will definitely go back.

The company fixed everything wrong with the sewing machine. The customer service was great. It took only one week. When I pick it up I asked if the the machine could be put in my care and they did so.

They repair and sell vacuum cleaners. They have been doing business here in Rochester for probably 50 years. I went to their store. I think they also repair other types of machines like sewing machines, but mostly vacuum cleaners. I spent about $112 for their services. They were honest with me and were extremely helpful. My vacuum cleaner was ready when they said it would be and the price was lower than I thought it would be. I did save some money. The re-manufactured vacuum cleaner that I bought from them was a lot better. I had bought an inexpensive vacuum cleaner from another store, but I took it back the next day after using it once since it was just a piece of junk. However, I got a much better one for the same amount of money from Aspenleiter Vacuum and it was perfect. I took two vacuum cleaners to be fixed. They said that they don’t make parts for one of the vacuum cleaners and they didn’t charge me for going over it. They did troubleshoot to find out what was wrong and tried to get the bearings for it. They could also get the bearings. Then they repaired the other one. It was absolutely delightful to go there. I knew Aspenleiter was there from when I was a kid, but I had forgotten since I had moved out of the city. Then I found them on Angie’s List; so I went there. If needed, I would use their services in the future too. I have recommended them to my family members and friends.

I called to inquire and they assured me they could repair the machine. The age of the machine and the availability of parts posed no problem. Their work was quick and professional.

I was amazed that they didn't even blink when I brought in such an old machine. They had all the parts they needed and did it promptly. Very reasonable price. When I mentioned that I needed some bobbins for the machine, they pulled out a basket of old-style bobbins and let me take one for free.

con't......shoppers jamming the streets. It was very frustrating! The location was on a major street in the downtown area and parking was difficult, a place where a single woman feels uncomfortable. Anyhow, the repair was exactly $75 plus tax. My machine needed a screw part and cleaning, so the bill was fair. The inconvenience to me however did not seem to be recognized by the man behind the counter. For good customer service, an adjustment should have been offered.

The machine was sent in by the shop that sold it to me, but I would have had to wait two weeks for it to be delivered to them. Because I was in the middle of a time-sensitive project, I called and arranged to pick it up at the shop in three days. The work was complete and beautifully executed - the repairer had done more than was expected, and the machine worked better (and still does) than when I bought it.
