The cabinet maker, Jose, was courteous, professional, and did excellent work. I am happy with the results, and I would hire this company again.

This company (Zac specifically) charged my credit card three times without authorization. I provided the card info for the deposit which was paid. He then charged my card without alerting me and without my permission days before the job was finished. The work he did was incorrect, and he then said he would fix it. He did for the most part (part of the initial agreement was not completed). He then made two subsequent charges that we never discussed, and he never told me he was going to charge me. You can imagine my surprise when I received my credit card bill and he had charged $4600 without my knowledge!

The only good thing about the experience is that the job was completed. It took about three weeks of rescheduling and by rescheduling I mean scheduling a day and having them not show up, for them to then tell me that they can't make it the morning when I called them to see where they were. No advanced notice that the day no longer worked for them. I still have YET to receive a receipt and I have been charged on my credit card TWICE for the same job. Both of which are for a price that is way over the price I was quoted. I was quoted a price in writing in email and have reached out to have it corrected but still have yet to hear anything. If you want to save yourself the trouble, choose a different company.

Zack sent guys to do the job one day after my home advisor request. He sent two guys who were very professional and easy to work with. They were knowledgable and did a great job. All of this for a reasonable price. I would recommend hiring them.

You guys have done a marvelous job on my kitchen and bathroom. Jose and Peter and the rest of the crew were clean and respectful of my home. The guys made sure I got what I asked for no matter how picky I seemed. I appreciated the fact you came by every day to inspect the work that was going on and made sure it was being done to my satisfaction. The work was finished in the timeframe that you promised. I would recommend your company to anyone who is looking to renovate their kitchen and bathroom.

Repairs to the window coverings were carried out very well without having to replace the coverings, which would have been much more expensive.

I waited several months before writing this review to make sure that Zac's work held up over time. He blew out cabinetry cabinetry for me and repaired drywall behind it. Zac was professional, diligent, respectful, got the job done quickly, and did a very good job on the project as a whole. The kitchen was put back exactly the way it was before he did the job. He cleaned up nicely afterwards and took pictures per my request. Nice work and I would hire him again.

If I could rate them less than .5 star I would. Zac Gelardin, the owner was very aggressive about getting deposit before he started when I first met him but was very confident that the job would be done in three weeks . He assured me it would be beautiful. He took a deposit on October 30, 2014 and it is now January 30, 2015 and he did not complete the work. He sent two people to start the work in November 2014 and they took two days. When they said they were done, I was appalled!! Everything was crooked, the panels didn't match and it looked nothing like the door we asked him to match. It also had a lacquer paint smell that did not go away as the weeks passed by. It was really horrific. When I complained, he did agree to re-do the work and it was much better but nothing to brag about. We are still waiting for the door hardware which he said it was a special order for months now. The picture of the hardware he emailed is is a generic hardware for pocket doors which I found on websites such as and now he doesn't even respond. To make matters worse, he took the liberty of charging the balance on my credit card without our permission when he didn't complete the work. When you charge $3200.00 for one pocket door, you should meet the customer's expectations of completing the work. I don't understand the reviews of RENOVATIONYC on this site. All the reviews were positive which is why I hired Zac. I later checked on YELP and all the reviews were terrible. It's too bad the reviews were written after I hired them. He also goes by the name BLINDSPRODUCTIONS and I-Space. Please, please beware!!!!!

The job was to tile our bathroom floor; less than 15 square feet. They said it would take 3 days. They ended up having to come back 6 times over 2 weeks! Only once did they arrive on time. The first day they were over 1.5hrs late. They put the (very basic) tile pattern in incorreclty in 3 places! And the space is like I said ess than 15 square feet. Very disappointed! Tiles were also cut very unevenly along wall, which looks messy. Tiles came off twice near the heat pipe! They cam back to fix it each time, but it just wouldn't stick. Overall the job just looked very messy and amateur like. On the phone I spoke to Zach, who was very friendly and nice, but it does;t make up for the fact that the job was not well done.

I'm very pleased with the finished product! I'm mostly impressed with the fact that every appointment they made was kept and the worker(s) always arrived at the exact time they stated...that's unheard of in NYC! They were efficient, respectful, skilled at their craft and careful to keep messes to a minimum. Victor was especially good at explaining details of the job that were helpful to know. I will be using them again and I have no reservation in recommending Zac and Renovation NYC.

I'm very happy with my overall experience with Renovationyc. They always showed up on time, responded to emails in a very timely manner, and kept me updated on the progress of my custom cabinets. The final product is gorgeous, and I certainly recommend Zac and his team to anyone looking for beautiful custom work on their homes.

He damaged my window sill ,left nail marks hung the curtains so low that they need to be redone he has not responded to my numerous e mails and phone calls He needs to be held accountable for damaging my property.

This company is thoroughly competent and takes great pride in their work. They fabricated a replacement kitchen cabinet door for me (with glass and decorative moldings, etc.). Matched the stain (cherry) exactly. Replicated the door perfectly. Can't tell the difference between it and the original. They are not cheap, but their work is FABULOUS! Zac, the owner, is personable, knows his stuff, and is easy to work with. In my opinion, it doesn't get any better than this. Would recommend them to anyone!
