New York Wood Flooring

The service was good but the estimate was unaffordable for me.

They were very good, the only bad thing was that it was expensive. A few parts of the floor could have been done better, there were still a few things that they could have pointed out before hand which they didn't.

Did everything as promised and on time and budget.

They are positive, incredible, professional, very helpful; they answered every question we have, the pricing was reasonable and so far the work we have seen has been very good. Like I said it is not completed but it is good so far.

They did an excellent job with the flooring. There were some minor complications though.

I had a huge leak from the a/c which warped a bedroom floor where there were extensive built ins.  I interviewed 4 flooring companies who all gave the same exact estimate.  Anthony assured me that he could finish in my time frame and explained in detail what he needed to do.   I had the best feeling about NY wood flooring, spoke to one person who had used them and in the end am thrilled that I selected them. The floor is significantly nicer than the original floor.  The workers were great, they worked without extensive breaks.  
There are few contractors I would recommend as highly as NY wood flooring. They are professional, complete the work in a timely manner(a day early in my case) ,and the final product far exceeded my expectations. The slight mark down was because the first day the workers arrived an hour late, however overall the job was completed a day early.

It was high quality. The crown molding in the kitchen and the wood was exquisite. I will use them again in the future.

They were very punctual and were very helpful. They really tried to work with me in terms of the design of the border around the edge mounting of the floors and the molding. They were scheduled to come during the hurricane and their office got flooded, but they still came out to work the next day and it turned out properly and they got the job done very quickly.  It was awesome!

Excellent-The owner who gave the estimate knew about the exact wood. The workers were reliable, nice & super accommodating.

Marc Ringel was very professional start to finish and attempted to accomodate a number of requests prior to  and during the project.  He was responsive to inquiries by phone and email and took the time to explain what they would be doing.  While circumstances beyond their control delayed the repairs, Marc was very diligent in working around the problems.

They came when they said they would and did a professional job.  Seamless experience.

The refinishing was down nicely. The replacement of the area of wood was done very sloppy. First the wood coloring was off, but the major issue I had was that they cut the wood too short and I now have a gapping hole in that area.

All went very smoothly. Anthony was patient with me as I took one solid year to render a decision and to get the job rolling. He came over twice to measure and I went into the store twice to get wood samples.

Great! Anthony Valenti is very easy to work with and communicates clearly. He gave an accurate estimate. They were very professional and prompt. They completed the job in two days and we did not have to move out. They moved furniture around in such a way that we could still get in our bedrooms.

Smooth, smooth, smooth

It went quite well. As with many crews though some members did not speak English that well which is an issue in all of NYC today. But their work was terrific! This caused some communication issues but overall one member spoke perfect English and all issues were resolved. CLESIO is fantastic! Tony Valenti is a fantastic person--attentive to each client's needs, always makes time to speak and no question is treated with less than 100% respect.

They did a very good job. They were prompt both when they gave the estimate and for the job itself. I had several estimates and they were the least expensive. The foreman on the job was excellent and the floors look great. I had a complaint after the job was completed and they came back and fixed it. I would use them again.

Anthony Sr. came over to look at the aparment and gave me quotes. He was very knowledgeable and made suggestions about hiding the cable wires. He told me that he had two separate companies and the carpenters would do the crown molding & floors and painters would paint. His price for everything was very reasonable and he sent a thank you note as a follow-up. I spoke with my Super in my building after the initial meeting and he told me that Anthony does a lot of work in my building and that he was very good and reliable. They started work two months later at my request. I waited for them the first day and they came on time. They came everyday on time and worked full days. At any given day there were at least two men in my apartment working. The job was finished on time, all of the workers were extremely professional and they left the apartment clean.

The final result is good but it was a nightmare to live through and I would never use this company. The people they sent spoke or pretended to speak no English or Spanish, as I speak Spanish. They put the wrong liner in the bedroom, even though I was very clear and my contract read which liner they had to use. They were going to have to rip up the whole bedroom, but I was able to get permission from my building to allow it to stay, as they would have been delayed beyond the holidays if they had to rip it up, and I was having guests and family for the Christmas holiday. I had to stand over them at every moment. After the liner incident, I realized this and they kept saying they would send a manager that could make sure it was done right but he did not show up until the end of the second day when they had started to rip out my closets, which they were not supposed to do, and were not being paid for. Finally then when I called for the umpteenth time telling them there were problems, that they were ripping out the closets and that this time it was going to cost them money, they sent a manager. He then made them rip up all the errors and correct them. To make things worse, they dropped a bucket of glue that never should have even been open, injuring my dog and ruining my new coat. Then they ran out of wood(since they had to redo so much)and delayed finishing so that I had to get special permission from my building to extend into what were "holiday days". It was absolutely a horrible experience. Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

This was my worst nightmare. They came to refinish about 200 square feet worth of wood floors in my apt. The crew that came spoke little to no English. They disconnected two of my steam radiators, and left them disconnected overnight. My apartment was flooded with steam for the whole night, destroying my walls, ceilings, kitchen, floor, and damaging the apartment upstairs. The next day they came to quickly finish the job, making an absolute mess and doing a bad job with the repairs. In all their wisdom, they sealed all the moisture and water from the steam into the wood, destroying the wood when it dried out over the next couple months. After I got the damage repaired (which was only partially covered by my insurance company) I called them to come replace my floor, which they had destroyed. They flat out refused, and claimed I was trying to extort them. What a joke. Stay away at all costs.
