Turnover is part of our industry and when a cleaner leaves, we make it a priority to find a great cleaner who is a good fit. To that end, we send a survey out after each clean to make sure we are meeting your needs. I understand that our COO has reached out to you by phone and email to make sure we do all we can to get back on track. Let me address each of your specific concerns in turn. 1. Our cleaners are trained to ask about areas of focus and get to work. That said, some cleaners are certainly more talkative than others, and we are happy to pair you with a cleaner who puts her head down and works. We already had a note to this effect in our system. 2. I am sorry your replacement cleaner did not work out. She had done well initially, but became disenchanted with her job, and that resulted in the poor performance you experienced. When this happens, we always guarantee satisfaction, and will be happy to send a cleaner back to address any concerns. 3. Our cleaners are provided a cleaning budget, but are not required to finish cleans under that budget. Rather, it is an estimate that allows us to set a schedule (so our cleaners will not be late to later cleans). If you found that your clean was consistently going over budget, we may wish to consider additional time to make sure there is enough time to meet your needs. 4. Further to the above, our cleaners receive schedules with estimated budgets, and gaps in their schedules that allow them to travel from clean to clean. However, if a clean takes longer than expected, or there is a transit delay (we see that you live in the Bronx), cleaners may be late from time to time. It does sometimes take a couple of cleans to address all concerns (by adding some notes). As far as our hiring, we take pride in carefully screening, background checking, and training our staff. Our goal is to develop a long-tenured staff. More than 1/2 our staff has been with us for over a year. We currently employ over 250 cleaners full-time in NYC and Chicago. As far as "making money" on Groupons, I can assure you that we make no money at all on deals like Groupon. To the contrary, we use those marketing channels to bring in customers, with the goal of developing long term relationships.
