TERRIBLE!!! I paid them upfront to repair my dryer and they never showed up. I’ve been asking for my money back from Christine since January 2024, and she continues to say she’ll send me a refund. It hasn’t happened. It’s complete fraud!

Mr. Appliance of NYC Mr. Appliance of NYC I don't recommend Mr Appliance. They don't know much about fridges. They charged us $900 (for $360 in parts, the rest in labor), and left us in the same position we started - with a fridge that didn't work. They then ghosted us, would not return our calls. We hired another technician and they fixed it straight away, replacing another part entirely than all the parts Mr Appliance charged us for. It's Small Claims Court for us to get our money back. Don't fall into the same trap.

super scam - the service technician and office and billing were not professional and this whole repair was a huge wast of money. I had to pay others to complete the job.

Definitely the worst service I have encountered in 35 years in NYC. Abrupt telephone style to begin with but their availability was good. In brief: tech came; evaluated new part. non0refunable of $190 and part cost in the range of $620. When part finally came, tech discerned that problem was worse and not worth repairing. Part went back to store and I was told that refund for the part (minus their exorbitant "analysis" fee would come in next billing s=cycle. that was January 2023. I am STILL WAITING for the refund. Approaching 35-40 calls and emails and still no refund. My patience led to passing the time limit for my credit card to refund the money. Still nothing. No one takes responsibility. No one calls back. Terrible service. I ask to speak with an owner or manager. No one comes to the phone. NO WAY that I would ever recommend this company.

The two young men, Sanjay and Javid, came very promptly, were respectful and quite nice. They also wore masks and had slip-on booties that went over their shoes. I offered them water both before and after they did the job but they politely declined. I explained the problems I was having with the dishwasher (which was brand new) and then they set to work. After they fixed the problem, they explained everything and also went over the correct usage of the machine with both my husband and me. (They gave both of us time to try it ourselves and make certain that we were doing it correctly.) They cleaned up totally the pieces of some rubber material that was cut and on the kitchen floor before they departed. I was apprehensive before they came because the reviews I read were mainly very negative with just a few positive ones. However, my experience was VERY POSITIVE AND I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW THAT. I would not hesitate to contact Mr. Appliance again. Thank you Sanjay and Javid for a job well done!!

DO NOT ISE THIS COMPANY!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!! CHRISTINE IN THEIR OFFICE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!! I just got off the phone with Christine at Mr. Appliance. Unprofessional is an understatement! I had my microwave serviced 3 weeks ago and was told I needed a part. I called to follow up about a week later and spoke to Christine and at that time she told me the part did not come in, it was ordered from PC Richard and the hold up was on their end. She said would call me back. Fast forward two weeks later and I still have not heard back from Christine. I called PC Richard and they tell me they do not have an order from Mr Appliance for my microwave at all. I call today and low and behold Christine answers the line. Before I could finish telling her the reason for my call she says "hold on" and puts me on hold. I was in mid sentence. She comes back to the line and as I continue the story she says "oh I will have to call you back". Lady, can I tell you the reason for my call before you decide to call me back! At that point I asked for the manager and she proceeded to tell me she was the manager! Really?! With that level of unprofessionalism?! At that point I was tired of Ms. Christine and her non caring attitude and had to let her know about herself! The whole experience with her from the first time I called was just not welcoming, it was not helpful, it was unprofessional and an overall bad experience. I was made to feel like I was a bother rather than a customer. I would not recommend Mr. Appliance at all! What I would recommend to Mr. Appliance is training Ms Christine on her customer service skills and her telephone manner. I know many are working from home during these rough times, however we still need to keep our professionalism and not sound like we just rolled out of bed and started taking calls! Do better Christine! I just went over all the reviews and there are countless reviews mentioning this nasty Christine and her inability to do her **** job! Why does she still work there?!

I was referred to Mr. Appliance by a major european appliance maker to repair a brand new oven that was not working upon installation. it took 2 weeks for them to get to the initial appointment to look at the oven. They were going to order the replacement part and call back to schedule. It took over 2 MONTHS and 20+ calls to Mr. Appliance to get them back out. The rude, disorganized receptionist says she will call you back every day. Never calls you back. Usually says she "hasn't had a chance to look for the part." Has other excuses on other days. Does not care how long it's been. Look at HUNDREDS of yelp and google reviews averaging out to 1.5 stars out of 5 + 14 Better Business Bureau complaints against these people. I can't believe that any manufacturer would recommend them. Stay away from these folks or risk losing your sanity.

Technician came on time, said he would order the part and Mr. Appliance would call me. Never did, so I called them. They sent a bill for $876 for a part that I subsequently ordered myself directly from Miele for $150. I called asking for details and a receipt. They charged my credit card (which they apparently had on file from a previous call) without my permission. Never got a receipt after asking for it and I will dispute the charge-I don't even know what card they charged. My last business dealings with them also involved overcharging. Usury. Unethical. Taking advantage. Simply wrong. Deal directly with Miele is my suggestion.

The people at Mr. Appliance are unreliable, incompetent, and uncaring. It took them over 2 months to complete a simple repair of my Miele dishwasher. During that time, they last-minute cancelled appointments that I took time off of work to be present for 3 times. When they finally fixed the dishwasher, the technician damaged adjacent plumbing that created a leak into a cabinet, and denied that he did it. Since that time, Christine from their front desk has continually promised to “get back to me tomorrow” about resolving the issue. At no point in 3 months of dealing with them on a weekly basis did they take responsibility for anything or express remorse. They are dishonest and I will not be using their services again.

It went well. There was a mixup in the beginning & I had call or text them a few times, but Yogi & the guys who did the work made the difference in their getting an A rating, instead of a B rating.

Totally incompetent work. I had a dryer that was making noises and the drum wasn't turning properly. They came and diagnosed it as a major problem (expensive to fix-2 men for 2 hours each for labor) and required a large deposit before ordering the parts they said we needed. Then we waited and waited for them to return. They finally did and supposedly fixed it. It still made noises and 3-1/2 months later it stopped working. We called but they said their warranty was only 3 months. I visited their office to complain and they said they would send someone over. They came and saw it was a broken belt (which they had replaced but the broken belt didn't look like it was only 3 months old). They left the broken belt with us and said we'd get an e-mail from them. Of course, we didn't hear from them. I ordered a new belt ($16) and an accompanying pulley wheel ($10) in case the one they had supposedly replaced hadn’t been replaced. Our apartment building handyman replaced the belt and accompanying pulley wheel in @1-1/2 hours (less than half the time I was charged for). Not only do I question their competence, I also question their honesty.

Mr Appliance first mis-understood the problem. Then, they made unnecessary repairs and also missed appointments.
Then they promised me a refund (still waiting for that).
Avoid this company!!

They were outstanding in every way. My dryer was under warranty and when they came and they didn’t have any of the warranty information. They went ahead anyway and completed the repair without having the authorization from the warranty. They left without me paying for the service while still waiting for authorization. I thought it was just great. They were very customer service oriented.
