Furniture - Sales
IN MARCH 2003, I WAS TOLD FURNITURE WOULD TAKE 4-6 MONTHS, BUT MOST LIKELY, CLOSER TO 6 MONTHS THAN TO 4 MONTHS. SEPTEMBER 2003 COMPANY LEFT A VOICEMAIL MESSAGE INFORMING ME THAT THE FURNITURE MIGHT BE READY SOON. REPEATED CALLS TO THE COMPANY WENT UNANSWERED. JANUARY 2004: STILL NO FURNITURE. TOLD IT MIGHT BE 'SOON.' ALSO TOLD I NEEDED TO PAY IN FULL BEFORE THEY 'FOUND' MY FURNITURE WHICH THEY BELIEVED WAS 'LOST' IN CUSTOMS. WANTED THE FULL PAYMENT TO BE MADE BY CASH OR CHECK; *NO CREDIT CARD.* I CANCELLED THE ORDER AND, PER THEIR CONTRACT WHICH IS GOVERNED BY NY STATE CONSUMER LAW GBL 396, REQUESTED MY DEPOSIT BE REFUNDED. FEBRUARY 2005: STILL NO DEPOSIT.
