I am not a big fan of leaving comments online but I just have to leave a couple of words regarding the company I hired to refinish couple of spaces in my house. I had a pleasure to meet a very professional and punctual designer of and quot;at your surfaceand quot; who showed up on time and very promptly after our initial conversation. Besides helping me to come up with the whole idea for the design and bringing a whole pile of beautiful samples to choose from ..I was extremely satisfied with how clean the space looked during and after the job was done. The living room space and my office are the best they ever looked and are complemented by guests every day. I will definitely use their service again and recommend At Your Surface to everyone. Thank you Svetlana! Keep up the good work!

The kitchen cabinets were pretty standard, Home Depot style. There were linoleum tiles on the floor. So, the designer from and quot;At Your Surfaceand quot; found very inexpensive tiles and created really cool patterns on the floor and backsplash. It was totally unexpected to get that expensive and sophisticated look from quite simple materials. My kitchen looked so great!
The real plaster moldings added a wonderful touch to the other rooms, and made the ceilings look higher.
The job was done rather quickly, and there was absolutely no mess or dirt left behind. Communication was flawless.
As a bonus, i got very valuable advice on decoration and lighting.
Very pleased and would totally recommend this service for all your interior remodeling needs!

I had been renting the one-bedroom apartment on the Upper West Side for about 2 years. I moved there from a studio, so some of my furniture didn't exactly fit the new apartment layout. When I got the new bed and sofa, I realized that the whole place needs some updating. Besides, I was getting tired of the standard white walls that all rentals usually have.
So, I invited and quot;At Your Surfaceand quot;, and the artist who is the owner of the company, suggested repainting the apartment and adding some color and texture to the walls to create a warm feeling. She brought in the painter just to do the basic paint job, and the rest was done by her alone.
The wall in the bedroom was finished in beautiful texture, using a special technique and materials to create a dramatic color accent and contrast for the grey leather headboard. Since we were limited in the degree of remodeling (meaning, for example, we could not change the closet doors), the artist suggested adding a glaze layer to the paint on the doors, and that changed their look completely.
There was not much we could do in the kitchen (same limitations), but the backsplash was allowed to be added after the artist negotiated with the management. What a difference it made!
The artist also helped me to get rid of some things that and quot;didn't belongand quot; there and add new ones, like lamps, mirrors and rugs to complete the new look of the apartment. She did a great job finding the perfect accents in different stores, always giving me variety to choose from.
The result was amazing! Overall, the place looked much and quot;youngerand quot;, felt more like an owned home, not a rental, and got a distinct personality - all within a budget of $5000 (excluding the cost of home accents that were purchased).
The work was rendered while I lived there, during the hours while I was at work. Every day the work area was left neat and clean, I never had that uncomfortable feeling that I live on the construction site. The artist was very flexible and cooperative, and pleasantly surprised me with her attention to every detail and immaculate quality of her work. Bravo!
