Gil arrived to my house and properly diagnosed the problem with my AC unit. He then explained to me, in detail, exactly what the problem was and the cost of repair. I gave the green light and he went outside to collect his equipment. He came back in and made the repair in a timely manner. Gil advised me that he had many years of experience in air-conditioning and it certainly showed! He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and friendly and I would highly recommend him and Test and Balance Air Conditioning, Corp if you need your AC unit serviced/repaired. Great job Gil!

2/5/17 - I set up appointment for service with Gil from Test & Balance AC Corp. He arrived 2/6/17 and told me that I needed a new evaporator blower motor. The motor was under warranty but he had to drive to Miami and pick up the new one. Gil quoted me $600 for labor. I tried making a few phone calls while he was here to get a 2nd opinion, unfortunately I was not able to reach anyone at that time. He said it was up to me BUT if I didn't make a decision while he was here...1) it could end up causing additional damage to other components that weren't under warranty AND 2) it would cost more to have him come back. He also told me that there are so many service companies in the area that they all have to be competitive in pricing in order to survive. I have since called 3 other local AC companies and the highest quote I received was $285 for the exact same job. THAT IS LESS THAN HALF !!! I will be sharing my experience with as many social media sources as possible to prevent other consumers from being taken advantage of.

"Cindy this is very wrong and unfair. I personally called you after seeing this review to explain how and why we derived upon the charges and you refused to listen. Upon arriving at your home promptly and on time, i diagnosed the problem and brought it to your attention. I provided you with a quote as i do to all our customers and explained that this motor is under warranty which i verified in front of you. Unfortunately manufacturers do not pay for labor and additional expenses which i explained to you would be your responsibility. You informed me that you where having work done at the house and that you lost your job. I called my office and was able to get you a lower price due to your situation. You then said that you have to make a phone call, which you did to another A/C company that did not answer there phone. At that time you authorized me to start work. I explained to you that the motor had to be picked up from miami because nobody else had it and i didnt want to have you wait to the next day for them to deliver it to us. I came back several hours later and installed it for you. At that time you asked me about purchasing an annual contract with us. I assumed you were satisfied with our service. You never called me in dissatisfaction. I only found out through this review that you posted. When i called you about it, i explained to you that some companies, not all, will give you a very unreasonable and unrealistic quote over the phone just so that you can have them come out. Than the price changes. All the quotes you received where over the phone. I was honest and up front with you. No pressure sales with me. If you felt it was to much, you could of said no thank you to me and went with someone else. That wasnt the case. I was hoping to clear this up in an amicable way."

First time with this company, tech Gil polite and courteous. Having 2 a/c units needed maintenance on both...both needed draining and freon..so for now I'm good with it. I'll write back if any problems. I don't think so took a contract for maintenance..thought it maybe better way to go

My air conditioner was leaking water in the furnace closet. I had another company out and they said I needed an acid wash for dirty coils. They quoted a ridiculous price. I contacted home advisors . Test and Balance earned my business for their honesty and knowledge. I was trying to figure out when to schedule. Gil explained without seeing the problem that it's it's leaking water now you have an immediate problem. I put a towel down after the other company left. While on phone with Gil I walked over and the dry towel was now soaked. From my conversation he sounded like he knows his business and not just out to get the job. My call was 5pm on a Wednesday. He came out 9am thurs and I had the work done.
