Everything went smoothly.

The crew arrived on time, did the work and cleaned up when finished. They drained the water, moved furniture, tore up the rugs and removed everything. When they were finished they vacuumed the basement and the upper floor. They washed the main floor too because that is how the damaged rugs and furniture were removed. They did a great job. The men were all professional, courteous and respectful of our belongings. Mr. Cohen was very reassuring. He explained the insurance process and helped us find a contractor who was as reliable and professional as he was. I would have no hesitation recommending Puroclean to anyone who needs their help.

Mitch is a great guy to work with. We had a waste line break and there was mold damage. He came over promptly and coordinated with the insurance adjuster. As it turns out, I couldn't take off from work. Mitch and his crew came and got down to work w/o us being home. I had no worries. They are extremely trustworthy. The job only last 4 days and they did great work. I highly recommend them. This will be the only phone call you make.

Mitch and crew were very professional and responsive. They removed all wet insulation, cut out the wet drywall ceiling, then installed a dehumidifer and three fans to dry the wet rafters as quickly as possible. Then, after all was dry, they applied a antimicrobial agent to mitigate any possible mold growth. While I felt the overall effort was pricey given the level of effort, (in short, it was just cutting drywall, throwing away materials and "renting" equipment to dry out what was there, approx three hours total effort), the crew was very friendly and Mitch answered his phone day or night with any concerns. Our next step is to redrywall the ceiling and paint, and Mitch gave us references for that.

Best service possible. Mitch personally made contact to arrange the most appropriate and soonest time to start the work and he was very professional, coming on site and giving specific advice and answering all questions. His work came during some of the worst winter weather and he and his crew made all best efforts to get the work done to prevent the damage from worsening. Water damage from a broken pipe wreaked havoc due to the multi-level nature of my house and many walls, floors, cabinets and ceilings had to be gutted and removed. He then made sure dehumidification around the clock was in process to prevent mold growth. And he did wall insulation removal and replacement which helped avoid massive heat loss during below-zero weather. Furthermore, he worked well and personally with insurance adjuster and did not ask or take any deposit up-front to start the remediation. He was therefore able to assist with claim approval and direct-billed the insurer making it as easy, effective and painless as possible. He then personally called to follow-up and check in, and helped do some decontamination of a questionable mold spot himself. A proprietor-owned and worked business is often best because of the pride and accountability the owner has in the job being managed properly, and Mitch exemplifies that. If you have a disaster, call Mitch and Puro-clean....the big-chain Serv-pro has fairly universally poor reviews, as you will see for yourself when you do your homework.

Mitch Cohen (owner) responded to my call for an estimate and arrived at my home within an hour. I had gotten 3 estimates already and they ranged from $2,500 to $11,300 so I needed to educate myself and get a few more estimates before I was wiling to commit to a contractor. Mitch was thorough in his inspection, explained what needed to be done completely, answered all of my questions, and assured me that that my mold problem could be completely remediated. In addition, he gave me suggestions as to what may have caused the problem and what to do to take care of it. His estimate came in close to 2 other estimates I received after seeing at least 6 remediators. I hired him. He and his team arrived as promised and set up the first half day. They worked a second half day, two full days and a fifth half day. They set up a containment system, ran 3 air scrubbers the entire job, installed 3ml. plastic over the existing insulation, did 2 rounds of HEPA Vacuuming (before and after scrubbing joists, sheathing, and gables), they cleaned the bar joists, sheathing, and gable ends with Hydrogen Peroxide based organic stain remover, and applied an encapsulant with anti-microbial coating to every area scrubbed. The team was helpful, experienced, reliable, knowledgeable, trustworthy, informative, and compassionate. This whole mold thing had me a little freaked out. We are taking steps to insure that mold does not occur again. I trust that PuroClean Emergency Restoration Specialists did what needed to be done on their end. I would hire them again, but I sure hope I don't have to. note: Three weeks out and there is a very little staining reappearing on one joist and a 1X1 foot of sheathing. I will call Mitch and I'm certain he will come out to check on it.

The provider was committed to making our house mold free. We shopped around and this provider was significantly less than his competition. Mitch is very pleasant to work with.

mitch was great. i was completely disheartened by the leak i had, as i treasure my hard wood floors. he was understanding, informative, and he and his crew did a thorough and wonderful job. his response time couldn't have been better. if you suffer some damage in your home, i would recommend mitch to anyone in need.
