Yost & Campbell Heating & Cooling

Yost and Campbell's estimate was the lowest of the three companies I contacted.  They didn't try to upsell me on a more expensive model than I wanted.  When it came time to do the job they showed up on time and were done in two days.  So far the new boiler has been working great.  I'd definitely recommend them to anyone that needs a new boiler.

The service rep told us that the unit could not be repaired and  had to be replaced.. owner - Tom came out to give us an estimate which to date we are still waiting for even after several phone calls and emails.. They were super responsive until after they had our money - now try to get anything from them.

When they came out for the check up on my boiler. They told me that my boiler was to old and needed to be replaced. They are very fast about coming out to the appointment and they always give me a check list of what they do after they are done with the check up.

Overall they were professional, reasonable, and knowledgeable. We couldn't be more pleased.

The job was completed quickly, neatly and professionally. The crew was respectful of their surroundings and did an excellent job removing the old equipment and installing new up to date equipment from a respected manufacturer. They left the place clean and laid protection for all the flooring while they were working and removing equipment.
We will need to replace central air conditioners in the spring and will definitely call this company again. We would not hesitate to recommend them. We could not ask for a better experience!

From the estimate to the installation with the exception of a few misteps with the scheduling the process was smooth and stress free.  The employees are friendly and professional.

Yost & Cambell was the 4th of 4 bidders who looked at and bid for this job. They were not the lowest bidder, but we had the confidence that they would do the best job, and we were 100 % right. They are a busy outfit and communication was a bit tough at times, especially getting phone or email responses, but we accepted those limitations and remained patient thru-out. It payed off, they did a first-rate job, on time and on budget.....and it was not an easy job. We had quite a bit of blow-in insulation they had to deal with and some pretty tight crawl spaces. We also had some specific demands and asked that the system be designed to have minimal visual impact on our house's interior spaces. They obliged us and we even did some of the rough-in and all of the finish work ourselves to guaranty this. It was a complex and unconventional installation for a Unico system, but the pay-off was huge.....a fantastic, high tech, extremely quiet, and almost imperceptible A/C and heating system. I also met one of the hardest working and skilled people I have ever met - their installer Juan Carlo. He worked closely with us on every room and every detail and he planned the whole job and layout (36 nozzles!!) in his head. He is a master and they are lucky to have him. They had their top supervisors check on the job every day and they took all of our questions and suggestions very seriously. They went far beyond what others would do in order to accommodate us.  A great company and a great bunch of folks to work with. Stellar work, Y & C !!

We have a yearly service contract with them. If we do have any problems, they are supposed to get to us before anyone else. We are supposed to only pay for parts. I haven't had any problems with them. We had a problem with our system a few years ago and they came and changed the part. You have to call and make an appointment and they are always busy. They have to come out a few weeks later.

I declined to have them come out.

Please see my previous comment. It went extremely well and I would most definitely hire Yost & Campbell again. They are reliable, honest and do an excellent job.

I had water coming into my master bedroom from the attic.  Craig identified that my primary tray was clogged which casued the secondary tray to overflow.  Craig blew out the line and in addition identified a major issues with my primary pan, it was badly rusted.  Craig removed the rust to the best of his ability.  He identified that the secondary was not installed properly (years ago) and that caused it not to drain properly.  He was able to fix this problem.  The unit is very old and we may have to replace within the next couple of years.  I will definitely consider using Yost for our new system and ask for Craig to be the installer.  He was punctual, professional, didn't mind a ton of questions and was nice to chat with.

One of the owners came to my house; performed an inspection; and provided a written proposal by e-mail within hours of his visit.  The proposal included various options and I called to discuss.  The owner answered all of my questions and we came to an agreement.
The work proceeded one week later.  I was told that the crew would arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. on Monday morning.  The van pulled into my driveway at 8:31 a.m.
From begining to end, there were 3 to 5 men actively working in my house.  They took a half hour for lunch.  They did not disappear.  If they needed something for the job, they called their shop and the item was delivered.  The moment that the equipment was installed in my attic and they were ready for power, one of their in-house electricians pulled into my driveway.
I was told that the job would take a week.  They started on Monday and were done at lunch time on Friday.
These guys are pleasant and professional.  They are very respectful of your home and they do good work.

Excellent. Now looking to replace boiler with them.

I’m very happy with their reliability.  They’ve been very helpful.   They even came out on New Year’s Eve one year.  I would recommend them.  The service charge includes the annual maintenance and some minor repairs, as long as we don’t abuse it.

I would highly recommend him. He was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. He explained in detail what the job entailed. Submitted a clear estimate which was comparable to others I had received.  He walked me thru every step and answered all my questions and concerns promptly.

After much consideration, however, I decided that converting my furnace was not right for me at this time and did not have the work done.  I most certainly would have had Kevin do the job and will if I decide to go ahead with it at a later date.

Totally pleasant experience.   The 48 year old gas heating/hot water system quit and was shut down by the gas company.  I live in a different state and I rent the home to a relative who was now without heat and hot water.   I immediately logged on to Angie's List to find someone reputable.  Thankfully I found Yost & Campbell.  From the initial phone call to completion of the job it was a totally pleasant experience.   The owner's assistant is very pleasant.   The owner was out to look at my home within 2 hours of my phone call.  The estimate for the entire job was emailed to me within a half hour after that.  He also responded quickly to the various questions I had emailed him. The company offers various payment options too.  The job, which is an all day job, was completed efficiently by 3 workers who worked from 9-5 with a 1/2 hour break.      My tenant said the workers were extremely pleasant, very clean, cleaned up perfectly after the job.   They removed and disposed of the old equipment.  They even covered the lawn before placing any pipes on it.   About mid-day a supervisor came by to make sure the job was going well.  The workers thoroughly explained to my tenant how the new boiler and hot water heater operate and showed her the shut off switches.  They did not leave until she had heat and hot water.   If there were a choice for A++ on Angie's List, I would give it to Yost & Campbell.

The entire process took only three full days to install the above components into our house.  On Day 1 they removed the old hot water tank and boiler and installed the new system which was operational by 5:00 PM ... Day 2 and 3 the Mitsubishi air conditioners were installed on the inside walls of two rooms  and the outside compressor with the electrical and refrigerant lines to the unit was installed as well.  While outside work was being done the gas line to the new dryer was installed.  During these three days the owner (Tom) and 2 field supervisors checked several times as to the progress of the job.
The crew never left the house.  All equipment and supplies needed were brought to the house by the installation team on a Yost Campbell truck and if any additional supplies were needed, another Yost and Campbell truck expedited the necessary supplies.

Unfortunately, the three days they worked were wet and cold but the crew took great care in protecting our floors, beds, etc. cleaning up at the end of "each" day of work.  When the job was completed, the house was clean and in the same order as before work started.  Old boiler, tank, parts, etc. were all removed by Yost and Cambell. It is also important to note that the crew doing the install were knowledgeable, concientious and extremely pleasant professionals through and through. 

The entire experience with Yost and Campbell was A+++ and we highly recommend this exceptional business to everyone.

The guys from Y&C were excellent. Very professional, courteous, honest and neat. They showed up when then said they would which is uncommon in the service industry from my past experiences. They answered all my questions before and after the job was done. Would absolutely recommend them.

They are very nice and efficient. They get the job done. They are a reliable company and have been around a long time. Their technicians seem to really know what they are talking about. They do the job very well. You do have to follow up with them some because they are so busy.

Incredibly nice people!! Wanted to be friends with them.. They came out to do the estimate within a couple of hours of my call (because I was without heat and it was cold) and had it fully installed in ONE DAY!! Their workers were really thorough and awesome and cleaned up well.  The cost was several thousand dollars less than the company sent out by my home warranty company, and they threw in a years' free maintenance!! I am new to the area and had no idea who to call, but this is the most awesome company I've ever had do major work in my home, anywhere!  These guys are the absolute best!!!! And it's been a couple of months, and the new system works perfectly!! I love Yost and Campbell and would use them every chance I get and recommend to everyone. I was just so impressed from the first contact. It just never goes this smoothly, I was amazed.

I was very impressed with the service I received with Yost and Campbell and I would definitely hire them again.  When I contacted them about getting an estimate to have a new boiler installed, they not only sent someone quickly, but the owner of the company was the one who came to my house.  I found him to be honest and fair with explaining all of my options, and he didn't try to oversell to me, which the other place I called certainly seemed to do.  The team that did the installation came right when scheduled and really knew what they were doing.  I liked that the owner even came back while they were working to check on how it was going.  They showed outstanding professionalism and I felt that they really appreciated my business.
