Paul and his fantastic helper rebuilt and reshaped the interior of my fireplace and the flue and replaced the damper. Two of the most respectful and courteous men came to my house and worked for 2 days tearing out the old brick and rebuilding and reshaping the rear wall. They left the house spotless. Best of all, they solved the problem. I would highly recommend this company to anyone with a chimney or fireplace issue. TOTAL PROFESSIONALS!!!

I had a little problem with the stove after it was installed and they had somebody here in 20 minutes. They are the ones I call with any problems.

Jonathon and Mark arrived in their spiffy red truck in their crisp uniform shirts and went straight to work and amazingly finished everything they had to very quickly- this job was at a remote location and they did find it, for starters and were their extremely pleasant, professional and expert. The inspection was comprehensive and free. They were very thorough and provided estimates via email right away. They were polite, caring, and professional. They were prompt and punctual. When they had to postpone their initial appointment they let us know right away. I never felt pressured by them. It turned out to be an enjoyable experience. We would recommend them to others.

Well Worth the Wait! We contacted JP Chimney Services in November, to talk about getting a wood cookstove installed where a gas fireplace had been installed. The first appointment they had for an estimate was Christmas week. We met and arranged to do the work the last week of January. They were professional, polite, and did a great job.

The experience from first phone call to end of project was excellent. Our goal was to transform a fire hazard of a fireplace to a completely safe one. The work entailed taking out the 70 year old rusted firebox and then rebuilding the entire fireplace from the inside without touching the face of the fireplace which is made from local stone. Every aspect of the job was done very well. Communication was superb - phone calls were always returned promptly, emails were always detailed and timely. JP Chimney really listened to our needs and wants. A few examples: We were not there for the entire week as this is a weekend home. We left our digital camera and asked them to take pictures of the work as it progressed and they gladly accommodated us. We had some specific design requests which they had no problem incorporating: antique firebrick, the largest firebox possible, a bluestone hearth with hints of rust color, all of whichwere done as we requested. The job started on time and completed when promised. I can't speak 100% to the cost since the other contractor we invited never gave us a final quote but JP Chimney's price quotation was very detailed and specific and we're confident that the cost was fair. We love our new fireplace, it's beautiful and and love that it's safe.

Overall, an excellent experience. They are very neat and thorough. They look at chimney construction, too, to ensure that there are no fire hazards. I would highly recommend this company.

iT WENT WELL, THOUGH AT FIRST i WAS PUT OFF BY THE COST, IT WAS WORTH IT.

I find this company to have exceptional integrity, and trustworthiness, in addition to consummate knowledge and professionalism. Plus, they're extremely prompt, courteous and informative. I would wholeheartedly recommend JP Chimney for all wood stove/fireplace needs, without reservation.

Not only was owner extremely professional in every way, but every person in the company was absolutely terrific, punctual, neat, knowledgeable, polite, and great in communicating throughout the entire process.

He arrived in a driving rain storm (on the day we had set the appointment for) and checked the chimney both inside and outside. His assessment is that the cinderblock used to extend the chimney (by another contractor) when the roof was raised was not waterproofed and it is absorbing water such that, with a heavy rain, it weeps causing the leak. He left me with a water repellent that I need to spray on the surface when the rains stop. He made sure that I and my wife both understood what he was saying was the cause and how I could do the spraying myself. He would have done it himself but it cannot be done in the rain.

JP Chimney came within a half hour of scheduled time and completed a thorough cleaning of the chimney and fireplace. As always, staff was courteous, professional, friendly and efficient.

They were extremely professional. They had great communication with me, they explained everything step by step. They are competitively priced and are very careful in the work they do. Also I apprecated the fact that they cleaned up so well after they were finished with their work. Honestly I can't say enough about how happy I am that I called JP Chimney!

I called in the morning. They called back right away and said someone would be there within two hours. They were able to go up and replace my existing cap during that visit.

These guys are the ultimate professionals and have tremendous character. It was an honor to have them in my home. They were truthful, hard working and impecable in their work. They provided me with two options and really went through the pros and cons with each on and recommended the less expensive option not because they didn't want to do the work or because they were trying to get the job done quickly and not do a thorough job, but because it was the best solution for the problems my wife and I were experiencing with our chimney. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. The work performed was a big job and they did everything like it was their own house. My wife and I were impressed and continue to be even to this day. We look at the job they did and talk about it often and are very thankful for people like those that work at JP Chimney Services. These people are worth every penny. They left nothing to chance and completely clean everything when they finished.

We wanted to have our chimney looked at in the house we just bought. While the folks at JP were prompt in arriving they spent a maximun of 20 minutes here, just looked up the chimney and stated the insert was just "too old". They never gave us an idea if they could repair or even replace it and hurried out. I know they recieved many good reviews and I'm sure they are stellar in what they do, my own experience with them was not ideal and I was less than impressed with the service.

The whole experience with this company was very smooth and it was all done over the phone and through the mail. The owner was very knowledgeable about his craft and was more than happy to field my questions. After agreeing upon an appropriate cap he gave me a price & then asked when I wanted the job to be done. To my surprise he was able to send someone to my home the next day. Although I was at work when the installation was performed, the job was done correctly and at the price quoted to me over the phone. I did not have to pay anything, not even a deposit, prior to the completion of the job. Instead, I was billed via a mailed invoice. In short, the whole process could not have been made any easier. I would definitely use this company again.

They quoted me on several projects; one of them was for $4000 and the other $10000. They were great in their job. They came over, inspected and gave me options and also, mentioned, they have low cost option; one of which is an insert option and the other being a high cost option, which was to re-build everything from the scratch. We had a fireplace and one option was to jus use the insert and keep the rest as it is and the other was to re-construct everything, something known as a Bell System. I liked their services and will them in the future too.

We've used JP Services for years and are very happy with the quality of their work overall. Now that their operation seems to be a bit larger, the brothers don't always come themselves. When they did their work was impeccable. The folks they hire to chimney sweep still do good work, but are not as meticulous as the owners themselves used to be. We're still happy, though, with the quality of the chimney sweeping, and the company is excellent in its communication and responsiveness. We will continue to hire them annually.
