Bobby Ritter was terrific and saw to it that everything was taken care of with attention to detail. I only wish he had been more of a salesman because i didn't know for certain what i wanted exactly and that led to some confusion and delays until i finally made up my mind which i think might have been avoided if he had 'sold me' more on the idea of a bigger room than originally planned. He recommended a good electrician but i was not happy with the mason he recommended. Still, the job Bobby was responsible for and the quality of the sunroom construction details and door installation rates an A+. The price was also very good. thank you Bobby!

WENDEL HOME CENTER installed all our siding, windows and doors some years ago. We began having leaks and then had roof done by another terrible company. The leaks continued after new roof was installed. We had roofer look and he found that the siding company never installed flashing from siding to roof. He was puzzled as to why his roof installer would ever install roof without that flashing that should have been installed by siding company. We called Wendel again seven times over 2 weeks with no responses, their receptionist confirmed that owner Bill Ritter got messages and can't understand why he still hadn't called us. We even had Mitch from Major Homes come take a look and he confirmed that their was no evidence that flashing from siding to roof had ever been installed thus causing the leaks. He even offered to fix the error at no cost to us if Wendel refused to back up their own work.
Wendel finally called and immediately denied that his installer could have possibly left out the flashing and simply blamed the roofer. Initially he refused to come take a look altogether then said that he would have to charge us even to just take a look and any errors found would be a charge to us for him to fix. This is his own company's error and poor quality work that he wants to charge us to correct. ****We actually had Major Homes fix all the errors and poor quality of Wendel at NO COST to us after Wendel refused to stand behind their own work !

"In 1996 Wendel Home Center installed new vinyl siding on the homeowner's house along with the necessary flashing and drip guards. It is now 15 years later that the homeowner has contacted our company for the first time to advise us that he has a leak. When our company was initially notified about the leak back in May, the homeowner also informed us that B & G Roofing in Jackson Heights had installed his roof several years ago and has not returned his phone calls. Wendel Home Center proudly stands behind all their products and warranties. Wendel was willing to provide a free estimate to assess the leak for the homeowner. However, after a warranty period has expired we do charge a service charge for any necessary repair work. The homeowner was unwilling to pay a fee for any repair work. We strive to provide 100% customer satisfaction and are sorry for this customer's inconvenience. Since 1953, our reputation has been built on providing quality products, professional installations and customer service."

They seem to be a very good company. We called them for estimates. We got an estimate last year for work from them. They were okay with price and that is why we went there. They were responsive. They came when they were supposed to.

Company came out, took measurements and in a little over two weeks, installed the new door. Door is a brand we hadn't heard of (Sugarcreek Industries), but is substantial and appears well-made. Installation crew was courteous and professional. Took off and took away old storm door and cleaned up area.
