The woman who helped me (who I think was the owner) was incredibly friendly and professional. I've tried a couple jewelers in Pittsford and always came away thinking they wanted nothing to do with me unless I was having my multimillion-dollar ring resized. Touch of Gold does all repairs on-site and the room where the jeweler works is open - when we picked up my necklace my 5-year-old son was fascinated watching him and he answered all his questions. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere, but I liked supporting a local business and the repair was inexpensive and well done.

I had gotten an estimate at another jeweler in Pittsford for $1,150. I went to A Touch of Gold to get another estimate and they estimated it would cost around $700 to set my stones in a ring. I spent about 30 minutes looking at different settings, selected a setting, got measurements and was told it would be 7-10 days until my ring was ready. They called me less than a week later and my ring was ready!! It turned out stunning!!! On top of that the total was $624 including tax!! Less than the estimate. They were wonderful to work with and I would use them again and recommend them to my friends.
