Does old world craftsmanship still exist? Yes it does when you hire Lang Stair and Rail. I called Lang Stair for an estimate and after discussing with Steve what I wanted, I received a quote for my stairs by the end of the day. I didn't even bother obtaining another quote because I felt very confident I was hiring the right company to do my job. Steven showed up on time everyday. I swear his drop cloths were ironed. He was extremely neat and considerate of my property. He explained everything he was doing along the way so I understood the process. The staircase was constructed in one day to minimize disruption in the household. The final product was absolutely stunning and a true work of art! I couldn't be more thrilled with my new staircase and railings! Steve is a true gentleman and a pleasure to work with. I totally enjoyed my experience with Lang Stairs and can't recommend this company enough.

Absolutely excellent work Steven Lang was very responsive, came when he said he would, very professional, and provided services as he said he would. He is an artisan with wood and very exacting in his craft. Excellent materials were provided, and put into place by a real professional. Even fixed a step (at no extra charge) that let me know that my children had come home, no matter the time. (the children had for years, begged me to get it fixed!) It is now silent - as it should be. Mr. Lang cleaned up every day prior to leaving and arrived punctually every morning. Would highly recommend him for any staircase/railing work that needs to be done.

Steven is a true professional and great at his craft. He replaced the posts and spindles on our original 60's staircase. We choose to keep the original hand rails and made them like new. He was collaborative and patient with the brainstorming process and ultimately made our vision come to life. Steve arrived on time for the estimate and gave a fair price to fix a few stairs that had been cut by the previous owner. The day of the job came, he was early, prepped the area with drop cloths and got to work. He finished the job in 1 day after thinking it may take 2. Very happy with the results and would definitely hire again.

Steve did a fantastic job installing our new railing. My wife and I could not be anymore happier. We have been thinking about the project for years and we wanted to make sure we got it they way we envisioned. Steve was very responsive to all my calls and texts. He never left me hanging! He came to the house several times to review the project, address our requests and make sure he went over ever aspect of the job with us. He explained his procedure, how long it would take and what we will expect along the way. He was very responsible, polite and respectful of my home. I appreciated that very much. His attention to detail was amazing. Every inch of every post and rail was perfect. All his cuts and miters were spot on. I think it may have been flawless. I I would highly recommend, Steve to anyone looking to get their railings installed. He was top notch. Thank you, Steve!! You made our home beautiful!!
