Established in 1994. After many years being in business, in July of 2007 we adopted new philosophy: "We should do only one thing, but we must do it really good." Since then, ductless mini split Systems, that is all we do! Carefully choosing right installers, constantly training, hand-picking quality materials and equipment - we want to make sure you get the best. By the end of 2008 we have installed more than 300 systems and became really proficient at it. That is because our technicians install ductless systems every single day (of course when weather permits). "Hello, and thank you for your review. You are correct, the part indeed is about $700 (including tax), but this is the cost, without any reasonable mark up and labor. Unfortunately lots of people see the price over the internet and get locked on it. What about time a technician must spend to go get the part and come back, what about gas, insurance, payroll tax, and future warranty? These are hidden fees that no-one think about, and the mark up is to compensate for these additional expenses... Our technician offered to replace the part, or to clean the part. You chose lower estimate, i.e. cleaning. It does not mean our technician was dishonest. You see, if our technician did not offer to replace the part now, just quietly cleaned the part, and the part failed in a few months - who would you blame? We looked into the service call history, and here is the technician's conclusion: "During troubleshooting found out that 1 zone at 3-zone-manifold is defective and needs replacement/repair - customer will repair himself. Troubleshooting is completed." We do not see anything wrong in your decision to do the repair yourself, except it could be harmful to the equipment and dangerous to you... Good luck with repair!"

Apparently, the price quoted over the phone was to diagnose and repair one AC unit, but when the technician arrived you asked him to also look at the second unit, which of course raised the price. The estimate was given to you BEFORE the technician started his work, if you felt it was out of your budget you should have stopped the technician. Otherwise I hope the whole job was done to your satisfaction"
