On 8/26/13, the garage door came crashing down & was completely off it's frame, damaging the door.  I had to beg for someone to come look at the door.  The secretary was extremely rude & laughed when I told her this was an emergency.  Before even assessing the situation in person, they told me it absolutely can't be their fault.  They finally sent 2 men, who rehung the door using 6 longer, stronger screws & told us WE would need to pay $900 to repair the door.  24 hours later, the door came crashing down again.  Both times, the garage door was shut and luckily no one was in or around the garage.  Typically, my 3 small children are in & out of the garage & playing near it.  This door could have caused a tragedy.  I have called repeatedly, asking to speak with the owner but was told that I can't & they wont even give me his name.  I have requested a full refund as my receipt clearly states, "Guaranteed In Full For One Year," but was laughed at & hung up on.  I do not want anyone from ACE to go near my garage door again.  I want them to pay for another company to replace the door.  If anyone out there has a door installed by ACE, I would have someone come out & check that it is installed properly immediately.  They did not use the proper screws to hold up a VERY heavy garage door.

Have used company for repairs on occasion since 1993. Obviously they were very good until now when they became very bad. Judge for yourself. In 1993 paid $10 for cable, $15 for spring, $15 for 2 safety wires plus service and labor $35. In 2002 paid $40 for 2 springs plus $45 service and labor. In 2003 remount chain onto idler sprocket, tighten chain tension, lubricate door and shafts paid $55 total. Compare this history to $120 just paid for 1 cable now. In the past 1 man did the repairs, always prompt courteous and skillful. This time 2 different people arrived. Quickly replaced snapped cable. When I told them prices charged over prior years and showed receipts, one man said that those prices made him sick to look at. The person who charged those prices was no longer with company and that he almost put them out of business. Be that as it may, I paid $120 for 1 cable that seems not to have been adjusted properly, as the pulley wheel that cable is threaded around is crooked not straight, and the cable shakes as the door goes up and down. I will not call these people back and will find someone else next time it snaps as it surely will. Yes, I accepted their price at the beginning of service which they told me up front, because I was in a hurry and had no time to start searching for another repair service. I still dont know a reputable company to call, next time I need repair.
