I consistently go to the concord store in latham to have my water tested. They always do a great job of explaining to me what I need, and often times what I don’t need. This year, I had algae that I could not control. It took me 3 times at concord before I was able to kill it all off, and the staff was always willing to help me through this. They swayed me away from pricey chemicals that I was told by other chemicals would kill algae, but turns out it just prevents it. They also made sure I didn’t waste my money on adjustment chemicals when I was battling this problem, since I was always backwashing and adding new water. I will always trust concord with my water chemistry needs!

I went to Concord pools for an in ground pump problem. The company that actually installed my pool was no help at all and I have had issue after issue with. And another company I called wanted $1700 to replace something that didn't need to be replaced. Then came Concord, they treated me like they installed my pool and I had been a customer there for 20 years. They came to my aid immediately and literally saved my pool season. No other pool company I will ever need or use other than concord from now on.

"It is always upsetting to us to hear that we let a customer down. It is our goal at all times to attain 100% customer satisfaction. In Mr. [member name removed]’s case, it is more troubling because we have no record of doing any service for him. Additionally, the repair he describes, apparently that of changing a pump seal, is not something we generally do. It is also our policy to take care of any damage we cause. To that end, we invite Mr. [member name removed] to visit with our spa dept manager, Jeff Kaufer [email protected] to resolve this and allow us to make it right."

Concord's service is excellent and I recommend them highly. I never had a pool before and was surprised at how easy it was to take care of by following Concords recommendations...and this pool is 26 years old...so I'm very pleased.

I planned to do a pool reno and had concord come to my house in oct of 2014 to look, estimate costs, etc so that we would know the scope of the project and be able to begin work as soon as the freeze was over the following Spring. In may of 2015, concord came back out ready to begin the work and discovered that the pool was in much worse shape than they had communicated to me the previous Fall. In fact, it is apparently in such bad shape that they recommended we do a complete new pool rather than work on fixing what we have. ,
What I don't understand is if it is in such bad shape, how did they not spot this when they came to provide a quote of work the last Fall? Obviously no care was given to providing accurate, actionable info.

The service manager did try to help,but I get the sense he has too much work to do because he was sometimes slow to respond. It was difficult to get anyone on the phone, or to get them to help me move the process forward.

In the end, this was a really negative experience. Because of their careless, I looked forward to a project for over 6 months, only to discover that it can't be done without more than tripling the cost.

We decided it was way too expensive. We were happy. They were good about coming in. They came on time. The estimate was way out of the ballpark. Our pool is surrounded by concrete and we were talking about redoing the concrete and all that. I guess they were on Angie's List. We also have friends that had Concord do something for them. They were high. They might have been fine to work with and all that and it probably would have been a good result but they were very high. It was too costly for us. Working with the guy was just fine. He was very personable and helped. They came out when they said they were gonna come. They were right on time. I couldn't afford them. Because of the cost, I probably wouldn't use them.
