         I had to sell my parents property near New Paltz because we could not financially afford the upkeep on the house, and my experiences with renting had not been encouraging. I signed a contract with  Aristothea (Thea) Michailaros with Weichert Realty on Boices Lane in Kingston. I felt confident that Thea would serve me well, as she had years of experience in the New Paltz area. 
         The sales process was agonizing because I was trying to empty an older house that needed some cosmetic work and trying to show it at the same time (not an ideal situation). Thea was confident and encouraging, though I was ready to throw in the towel many times. She was also very proactive about holding open houses, and promoting the positives about the home. During the entire process, Thea was in touch consistently, offering suggestions as to how make the most cost effective improvements. I found her involved, compassionate and caring - she put her whole self into the sale.

         She also has integrity and made me feel she was just as vested as I was in getting the sale - not in a pushy way, but as a partner with me. Knowing there wasn't much money, she worked with me to agree on a lower commission rate.  I can't say enough about Thea. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a good agent.
