Beth is fantastic as a cat sitter and a house sitter. I originally got Beth / The Whimsical Pet Company from Angie's List when we moved to Northport, Long Island in January of 2013 and used her regularly until May of 2019 when we moved upstate. Beth was just wonderful--great with our cat and totally reliable. When we were away, I always wanted to be texted after she visited our house and Beth always did, sometimes including a pic or a little video. When we got home our newspapers and mail were neatly stacked on our table and package deliveries taken in. She was meticulous about cleaning the kitty litter and bathrooms. (We would totally trust Beth during this Covid 19 crisis!) And Beth always insisted that we let her know when we arrived home from a trip, which I loved. We are hoping we can find another "Beth" where we're living now. To illustrate how special Beth is, our dear cat died a few months ago of pancreatic cancer and although I hadn't been in touch with Beth since we moved, I wanted to let her know that our dear Fatty (Fatima) had died. Beth not only wrote us a beautiful email, but called me on the phone. My husband and I were so touched by this. And Beth has offered to help find us a sitter up here when we need one again, which we will very soon!

My only regret is that her wonderful pet parents had moved and I did not get to say goodbye. But I do know that 2 new kittens will be joining the family soon and I know they will be "all loved up"."

There are not many people in this world to whom I would give the key to my house, but I have no hesitation when it comes to Beth and Carol and their pet-sitting services. At Your Service has always been dependable and thorough and I have always felt completely at ease leaving my pet and house in their care while I'm traveling. Sometimes I think Beth provides my pet with better maintenance care than I do! I would recommend this service to everyone.

I have employed Whimsical Pet many times when I have travelled for both personal and professional reasons. My request was for twice daily walks. My relationship with Whimsical Pet has been for a minimum of 10 years now and not once ever was I disappointed with the service my dogs, who love this Aunt Beth to pieces!! the price listed below is per service.

Beth is absolutely outstanding, not only is she so professional, she is caring, kind and loving to my pets. I have a 100 lb German Shepherd Luke, a cat Myles, and a feral outside Sparkles plus I feed the birds in my yard. Beth takes care of everyone and I have to say when I come home, not too sure my Luke is happy to see me, he loves Beth. Can't say enough about Beth and the care she gives my fur babies. She is now part of our family. Thank you Beth.

First used services for dog sitting. Our dog passed away 6 years ago. At that time we began spending winters in Florida. Have used house sitting service over the winters. Beth is at the house every week to check on it and has, on occasion, contacted service providers (heating, plumbing, etc.) to arrange and provide access to the house for repairs. It is very reassuring being 1200 miles away knowing that our house is being so carefully watched.

I was in need of someone to administer insulin shots to my cat and Beth surely fit the bill. My elder cat was so comfortable with Beth from the minute they met! Beth's love of animals is so evident and it's a great feeling knowing that your pet is receiving such great care. All details were agreed upon prior to service period and I had absolutely no issues. Already have plans to use Beth's services again.

Beth is very responsible and really cares about animals and her rates are fair. However, she acts like she is doing us a favor and her overall demeanor can be off-putting. She actually fired us because it was too hard for her to care for all our pets and we were too far away from her (we are actually only about 5 miles away from her but she seemed to think that was too far). On the other hand, during a storm, she went above and beyond to make sure the pets were taken care of.

"I appreciate the feedback the feedback from [member name removed]. When [member name removed] and I first discussed my caring for her 3 dogs and 2 cats, I indicated to her that travel time may be an issue as one of her dogs required an insulin injection 2x per day at in a specific time frame. The time frame that was needed during the afternoon was during "rush hour" and my travel time was greatly increased. After our first series of visits, I informed her that it was not going to be possible to continue to take care of her pets and provided her with information on several additonal pet sitters that were in her more in her area than I was. I gave her the names of several organizations that listed pet sitters in her area as well. There was a dangerous blizzard predicted to hit our area and I advised her to put off travel because it may be difficult or impossible for me to get to her pets. She chose to travel anyway. I convinced her (in a phone conversation, the day before the blizzard hit that she should find a place to board her dogs where it would be safe and her dog that needed the insulin shot would get it. The storm hit very quickly making travel extremely dangerous. Despite the intensity of the snow I went to her home and was able to get her 3 dogs with all of the necessary items to a kennel. I then returned to her home to make sure that her cats had enough food and water to last for several days as I knew that it would be at least a day before I could return. We received a total of 30 inches in our area. I returned to her home a day later and continued to care for her cats until she returned. Prior to the storm I had asked that she make arrangements to have her walk shovelled. She did not. I shovelled my way into her home which took about 45 minutes. I informed her after this incident that I could no longer care for her pets. Pet sitting is a cooperative relationship between owner and pet sitter. When it does not work, it is best to disolve the relationship. I have an excellent reputation in my business and feel that this response was necessary as I feel I acted in a professional manner, dispite the danger to myself during the storm. I wish the [member name removed] all the best in the future."
