Big Boy Contracting & Renovation

It went really well.  Some aspects of the work were built stronger than code requirements.  Kevin Sickler of Big Boy Contracting is very thorough and takes great pride in his work.  The project ran from October into December.  Whenever bad weather was forecast, Kevin covered the work in progress with tarps.  It was a race against time to complete the project before the bad weather hit and in time for the holiday party we had planned.  Kevin pulled it off with some time to spare.  Prior to demolishing the damaged porch, Kevin took all the contents of the porch and bagged them up so that we could sort through the stuff and decide what we wanted to try to save.  The building inspector added a few items to the project plans and Kevin was happy to incorporate them.  The building inspector complimented Kevin on the quality of his work.  Kevin's bid was in the middle of the 3 estimates that we obtained but it was closer to the highest bid.  Hidden damage raised the price but we were fortunate that our homeowners insurance company paid for almost all of the cost.  Kevin's son, who is also polite and personable, worked with his father when he could.  The rest of the time, Kevin worked by himself or with another worker that he knew.

The work went well.  Kevin Sickler of Big Boy Contracting was thorough and worked with the Building Inspector to make sure that the project met code requirements.  He treated our home as if he were working on his own home.
