Very difficult to organize clear estimate and get window details - probably because they are running all client facing work between 1-2 people, and probably because they focus on larger jobs at the same time. However, with patience and repeated attempts we got things clarified and the service itself was very good.

"I wish you would be a bit more careful about writing a review about the wrong company. My company is Dunrite Contracting of Hopewell Jct NY. We are not licensed nor do we work in Brooklyn NY . We never spoke before or did an estimate for you."

The entire experience was just perfect. After hearing all the horrible stories in the media about contractor rip offs I was a bit apprehensive. But from the start of the project I knew we had hired the right company. They we at the house on time everyday and began by putting down drop clothes and plastic partitions up to keep the dust and debri in the work area. All of the workers were clean and extremely polite to me and my children. At the end of the day they took time to clean up and put things away. The job was done on time and on budget. Although we had made some last minute changes, Vinny was polite and made the changes at minimal cost to us. His being there everyday with his men made the job go smoothly and easy for me to ask questions and make important decisions. His working knowledge and his design skills are second to none . It made mine and my husbands life extremely easy. I work highly recommend Vinny and his crew from Dunrite Contracting to tackle any home improvement project.

Very positive expiriance dealing with Vinny of Dunrite Home Improvments. The crew was on site when they said they would and presented themselvs in a profeshional workman like manner. We laid the design of our new bathroom in the hands of Mr. Davis. Space was a big concern for my wife and I, and we are estatic with the attencion to detail he provided. Looking foward to our next Dunrite Home Improvment! Thankyou Vinny!

We engaged Vinny in February with a kitchen reno and ideas for an extension. We were renovating the kitchen with changes to the footprint adding walls and a roof to an existing 4 season room updating an old dining room to match and installing all new siding. We needed a beam to replace a load bearing wall and had new electrical installed. He explained in understandable terms how everything would work. He had patience with us and answered our questions thoughtfully. He was honest hard working. diligent and highly responsive throughout the entire project. We trusted him and his team with everYthing and felt comfortable with them in our home when we were not present. He takes pride in his work and we could see our satisfaction and happiness were important to him. The finish work was superior quality and our kitchen is beautiful. We are so happy with the outcome and are already talking about our next project with him. Thank you.

There is no better feeling for a contractor than to see how happy your customer is when the job is completed. Again, let me say thank you. Best regards, Vinny"

He does not know or have experience in renovating bathrooms. He cannot lay tile, spackle or paint. The towel holders he put up fell down. He said the tile would not line up correctly in the bathroom and said he did not want to do the cutting of all the tile. He calls other customers, co-workers and family members idiots. The workers were great and he was the idiot. He made remarks that women are stupid and complained a lot. When I asked him to re-tile a certain spot, he said "F you" and walked away. He said he put up a hundred shower doors and it ended up taking him (2) days to do so and I helped him. I had almond grout in one bathroom and white in the other. He mixed up the colors and did the opposite. He could not line up the tile pattern in one of the showers. The one good thing about him was that he showed up everyday. We needed to put wood doors in the bathroom. He told me to order 2 right opening doors and one left opening door. Once I had the doors, the carpenter on the project advised that I needed (2) left opening doors and (1) right so I had to return the doors purchased. I had gone to Home Depot to order the doors and a bathtub for them to pick up. Home Depot advised me that they were ready to be picked up and were at the front of the door for pick-up.He called me back and said they didn't have them. I called Home Depot and they said they did not have it either. After they viewed the security cameras and investigated, we found that his crew came to pick it all up. He was obviously not communicating with his crew. I was going to buy outlets and switches at Home Depot and he advised I did not need them, as he had them on his truck. When the electrician arrived and asked where they were, Vinny said he did not have the materials on his truck and I had to drive the (15) miles to Home Depot to pick up. Ever since the incident with the doors, I had to go pick up everything else. I had bought beautiful and expensive tile for the job. Because of the lousy job he did on the first bathroom, I ended cancelling the second order of the high quality tile for the second bathroom and purchasing cheap tile from Home Depot based on his inexperience. When he installed one of the doors, it was hitting the floor and he hacked off the bottom portion of the door and when I asked about it, he said that I should just sand it. I ended up telling him to leave and finished the work myself.

"A contractor can only do so much when he is dealing with a customer who goes over budget on his materials and try's to avoid paying more in taxes by not obtaining a building permit. Being a licensed contractor we were forced to bring all of Toms plumbing and electrical to code even though we were not paid for this. Tom was to have all the materials at his home for us. We were forced to go and pick up materials constantly causing some confusion . He was forced to order cheap tile from Home Depot for the second bathroom because he did not budget himself accordingly on the first bathroom forcing us to use pieces of tile because he refused to buy more. The installation of the shower door did take two days to install because the cheap clearance door he bought was missing pieces from the box. Dunrite went above and beyond to complete the bathrooms without having the proper materials to do so. Your readers have to ask themselves this. If we did such a terrible job on the first bathroom then why did he have us gut and redo the second one? If I was using all this foul language and demeaning women then why would you keep us there to do the second bathroom? The review he wrote about us has some truths I've admitted to . But overall the words you are reading from him are from a coward who uses a keyboard in an.attempt to ruin the reputation of a company that tried to do its best to help him."
