Dmitriy did an amazing job. He arrived on time the first day, sized things up, fetched some needed supplies and did demolition with his assistant. Next day was the cement board. And then the tiles. He worked tirelessly and had really good ideas of how to handle the difficult edges. We got a really good finished product and a really good deal. Not only that, but he's a really nice person whom we were happy to meet.

Dmitry tiled about 350 sq ft of porcelain in my basement.  I would normally not write any reviews unless I was very dissatisfied about a service, but I have to make an exception here.  He possesses three good qualities that I look for in a contractor.
1.  He is very meticulous with his work and respects your property.  I can usually find faults with work done at my house, but not with him.
2.  He returns your calls/emails promptly.
3.  He is very reasonably priced.  If you've gotten estimates for 350 sq ft of existing tile remval and laying new tile, you know what I'm talking about.
In addition, he goes the extra mile to meet your needs.  When I told him that I needed the basement tiled ASAP before the carpet guys come the following week, he rented a car for 5 days to travel from Queens to my house in North Jersey (his car was broken at the time).
In short, I would highly recommend Dmitry for any tile work.

I had to call him and wake him up to see why he was not here for the job. He said he did not feel very good and I asked him if he wanted to reschedue and he declined.
Response from Mitra Tiles

"I am so sorry about the Friday. Trust me you did not wake me up. I did feel very bad and had a car rental reserved to come out to you that i have to pay for. I will come out and do this backs-plash for you 50% off. Please let me get back to you with a different day. Let me know if you are available Saturdays. That would be easier to reschedule. Thank you and I apologize for the inconvenience."

I was moving into a basement apartment that has not been lived in three years. The old linoleum flooring was peeling and asked Dmitry/Mitra Tiles to lay down new linoleum. After speaking with Dmitry he advised me that it would better to use ceramic tile due to the high humidity of a basement apartment. I agreed and in less than a week, they 500 sq foot apartment looked amazing! Each tile was professionally put down with Mosaic tiles in the middle. It brought new life to the apartment. I enjoyed it so much, I had Dmitry/Mitra Tiles re-floor another room that was damaged due to a flood. Again, after one day, it looked amazing.

I can not thank Mitra Tiles for helping me out. I would have made a huge mistake if I laid linoleum down.

Their staff is 100% professional and gets the job done but takes careful consideration when doing the job. It is not a job, but more of an art.

Mitra Tiles is my go to company for anything with tiles.

I found a new apartment that was less than half the rent of my current apartment, and I had to move out of the old place in a hurry since the lease was running out. The only problem was that maybe my new place was half the price because it was in complete disrepair. I'm not typically one to spend my own money renovating an apartment I don't own, but this was a unique situation and it needed to be done (plus the repairs would pay for themselves in the long run). So here is all of the work I needed done, and needed done QUICKLY:
-New tiles in the entire bathroom and kitchen (walls, backsplash, and shower too... not just the floor).
-New flooring in the rest of the apartment (it's a studio)
-All walls scraped, spackled, and painted (they were a hideous color an peeling)
-Dropped ceiling removed and lofted, with the newly exposed portion cleaned and painted.
You would think with an urgent job, that Dmitry would have just slapped down the simplest options possible, but he didn't. He understood that while I needed things done quickly, they should still be done nicely... I have to live here after all, and hopefully for a long time. I was amazed not only by his creativity and artistic ability, but also by his work ethic and uncanny ability to stretch a dollar. This is someone who truly takes pride in his work, puts himself in his clients shoes, and goes far above and beyond the call of duty. He was absolutely meticulous about every detail, and would work until any hour until everything was perfect and on schedule. All I could think was "I'm sooo not paying him enough for this"... maybe the only time in my life I've gotten to say that, LOL.

Imagine my surprise when I walked in and found that in a mere two weeks (at a price that would have only gotten me 3 days from any other contractor) he had completely pimped out my pad!

My kitchen and bathroom were adorned with natural stone and elaborate mosaic designs and patterns, with everything perfectly smooth and level. There were so many little details and luxurious touches that I wouldn't even have thought to ask for... like the mirror that was mounted in with the shower tile, it looks fancy and customized while actually coming in handy... Genius!

The floor in the rest of the apartment was this very smooth cement on which he somehow created a three dimensional pattern that was almost hypnotic. I have no idea how he did it, but it is GORGEOUS. It's like a piece of art that I feel guilty even stepping on.

The walls were spackled and painted very nicely, smooth as a baby's bottom. He even took the time to put in a little detailed trim just because he felt it fit well with the floor. The ceiling was also lofted, cleaned, and painted just as I asked and really opened the whole place up.

He also showed me pictures of some of the custom mosaic furniture he makes, and offered to make me one that would specifically compliment the colors and patters of my apartment. About three days later, he showed up with the finished table. I don't know how to describe it except to say that I can't believe I'm eating Ramen Noodles off of this in my studio apartment when it should be in a high roller room at Caesar's Palace or something. It's really something unique and special... and a steal!

In the end, he never left a speck of dust behind, never skipped a day, never forgot to return a phone call, and never caused me even a moment of stress (which is saying a lot in this situation, or in any situation involving a contractor, lol).
This kind of work ethic is seldom found these days, and I'm glad I happened to stumble upon it here.

I'm all settled into an apartment now, which has been transformed into what I can only compare to a Sultan's palace... except smaller, with a lofted ceiling and exposed piping :o)

But despite this long-winded comment, I am still at a loss for words to express my satisfaction and gratitude.
All I can say is that this man should have signed my apartment on his way out; he is a true artist and an honest salesmen.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

On top of it, he is truly an artist and so pleasant to work with. My aunt is an older woman who lives on her own and she felt very comfortable with him there working. He even left her kitchen cleaner than it was when he first got there! The finished product looks so amazing and I would recommend Dmitry to anyone that is looking for a unique piece of art incorporated into their home. AWESOME job - thanks so much for being so good to my aunt. :)

There was one guy that came in and replaced all of the ceramic tile in my mothers bathroom. It included floors, walls and the design work. Within about a 4 day period he created a beautiful design. It includes 4 different stones of tile including ceramic, granite and marble. It's beautiful. He did a really good job.
