It is a common misconception that spraying weeds once or twice will rid your lawn of these weeds. Especially through summer months, when summer stress weeds are naturally stronger then the grass plant. It takes time (typically about two full seasons) and consistency in applications to grow a weed free lawn. Applications of fertilizer and weed control should be applied every 4-6 weeks throughout the growing season, as well as core aeration and overseeding, at least every other year, to ensure thickness, add grass variety and encourage thatch decomposition.
