They explained step by step what to expect and approximately when to expect each phase. They also sent us a booklet on most frequently asked questions and how to care for our project. I found that to be very helpful. The only mis-communication was scheduling the last phase--partially my fault. The payments were broken down--no money up-front==last payment when we were satisfied. Can't complain--will use them for more work in the future.

The 1st and second steps went reasonably well. After the paving stones were put down, there was a problem with the level of the grass compared to the paving stones. In some spots the grass extended 6+ inches above the pavers. I was hoping when the base was stomped down that things would change, but they didn't. I contacted Kevin my salesperson prior to the last phase of asphalt and he claimed he tried to convince me to get Belgium block, so this wouldn't happen when he first made the deal. He may have tried to convince me to do Belgium block, but I don't like the look of them. He never explained to me that my grass would be 6+ inches above the pavers in spots if I went with the pavers. He then told me I would have to call a landscaper to deal with the problem. I called 2 landscapers to level off my grass bordering the pavers and I had one estimate of $550 complete and another one of $200 but I had to buy and plant the grass seed. There was no apology, there was no adjustment in the price to compensate me for the unexpected landscaping that had to be done. After the final phase of putting the asphalt down was complete and we waited 10 days to park the cars on it, I noticed some separating of the asphalt at the top of the driveway. I called the company and left a message for Kevin and he never called me back.
Also, at the beginning of the whole process, my 1 stipulation was that the work was finished before August 31st. That didn't happen.

Salesman arrived on time, explained their services and gave me a written estimate. Once I agreed to use their company, the office kept me up to date on the schedule. First the old driveway and apron was broken up and taken away, at the same time they put down the base layer of crushed stone. Next, the mason came and installed the apron made of pavers. Several weeks later, the new blacktop was installed. The workers were neat and polite. Job took longer than I expected but that was due to weather conditions. They cannot put down teh new blacktop for several days after it rains.

Their process of estimating the work is pretty simple. They'll come to your home, even if you are not there, they'll take a look at it and they'll leave the estimate in your mailbox. Price wise, I think it's average, I got three estimates and they are at the same ballpark.

They were very punctual and extremely neat. They had the old driveway ripped off in less than half hour. They were excellent and the quality of their work was great. The driveway has held up really well since they completed the job.

My experience with them was terrible, and their work was sloppy. I had some things out there like lamps and lights, and they broke some of them. I called their office after the work was done, and the girl who answered the phone had probably had a bad day. She said something to the extent that if I didn't like the work they did, I could go ahead and sue them. I was shocked. Anyways, my husband and I went and bought stuff to replace what they broke. I had the owner come out here more than once, and I told him that I didn't like the way the Belgian blocks looked. I also received a postcard from them later stating that they needed to reseal the driveway, and that the charges would be $100 plus tax. I called the office and told them that I didn't want to do business with them anymore.

Very unhappy with the company. Upon demolition of old driveway, they ripped out sprinklers. Sloppy work on block installation, and splattered concrete all over the lawn, with more sloppy work on the asphalt. Apparently, the mix was not hot enough resulting in many driveway flaws. When contacted, the contractor claimed that the contract called for time and materials and did not say anything about aesthetics, and claimed that the issues were aesthetic.

I WENT TO LOOK AT OTHER DRIVEWAYS THEY HAD PAVED. THEIR CREW IS GOOD, AND THE WORK IS PROMPT. THE WEATHER PREVENTED HAVING THE DRIVEWAY SEALED, BUT THEY WILL GET TO IT IN THE SPRING.

I WENT TO LOOK AT DRIVEWAYS THEY HAD DOEN FOR OTHER PEOPLE. THE CREW WAS GOOD ABOUT KEEPING MY PROPERTY CLEAN. THEY WERE PROMPT, AND DID THE NEW DRIVEWAY IN A TIMELY FASHION. THE RAIN HELD THEM OFF FROM SEALING THE DRIVE UNTIL NEXT SPRING.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT AND OUTSTANDING JOB. THE COMPANY WAS VERY FAST. THEY WERE A VERY REASONABLE COMPANY. THE WORKERS WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. IT LOOKS GOOD.

THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK IS VERY GOOD, BUT THE CLEAN-UP SHOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. I GOT A TICKET BECAUSE THEY LEFT SOME TREE STUMPS AND DEBRIS AT THE CURB AND IN THE STREET.

ASSATATO ASPHALT PAVING COMPANY IS A SLOW COMPANY. THEY GAVE ME A LOT OF EXCUSES AS TO WHY THEY WERE NOT HERE. THEY TOOK A LONG TIME, BUT IT WAS GOOD AFTER ALL THE PROBLEMS WERE SOLVED.
