Skyline Chimney Sweep

Joe had responded last to a "smoking up the house" emergency for us, and he said that our chimney needed a liner to avoid the problem in the future.  He came back to put in the liner.  He came when he said he would, did the job very quickly, cleaned up beautifully, and then gave us a little education session on how to use the fireplace and types and wood and so forth.  He was great!!! Sometimes he is hard to reach because he is very busy, but he always does call back and he comes on time.  Great job, Joe - thanks so very much!
Edit - Four years later we are grateful and everything he said was true and more then true. It enabled us to really maximize the use of our fireplace. This is a follow up review so four years later this it to say this is one thousand dollars was well spent.

We have a fireplace insert, and many chimney sweeps do not service them, but we were very happy to find that Skyline does!  We had had a sudden "smoking up the house" event, and we needed service immediately.  Joe returned our call that very day, said he would come the next day, and he came exactly when he said he would.  He (along with a second person who went up on the roof) inspected our chimney and our insert, taught us how to use it properly, diagnosed the problem (we were burning the wrong things!).  He was quick, thorough, professional, informed, and friendly.  We learned more from him in 10 minutes than we had in 2 hours trying to look things up online.  He made a suggestion for future work, but made it clear that it was only preferable, not required.  We intend to have him return in the spring to do the work that he suggested, partly because he did not try to "pressure" us or try to sell us something.  The whole experience was flawless, and he are so grateful to have found someone so knowledgable and reliable!  And, his charge was very reasonable for the inspection.  Thanks, Joe. 

My call was never returned

Scheduled appointment to clean dryer vent and chimney.  Scheduled appointment and appeared exactly on time. He inspected the chimney and the dryer vent. Observed that neither needed cleaning and were in good condition. Charged only for the inspection. Was personable, prompt and effecient.

They are polite and professional and they do a good job.  They are nice people and their price is reasonable.

He was very good. He told me what it was going to cost on the phone. He came right on time. He was very neat about it and he had drop cloths down on everything. He was very reliable. He did an excellent job and he didn't try to talk me into extra stuff. He was very good. His price was comparable. He called me right back. I would absolutely use him again.

They were very clean. The price is competitive and they did an excellent job. They are nice, punctual and call if they are running late.

Very happy, good to know there are honest guys out there!

Overall it was an excellent experience.  I called for an appointment and left a message for someone to call me back.  Late in the afternoon on the same day I received a call back from Joe.  We scheduled an appointment for a few days hence and set up a time.  He called when he was about half an hour away to let me know he was on his way.  He showed up promptly with his co-worker.  They were both very polite, professional and friendly.  Their appearance was clean and neat. 

Joe came in and vacumed the chimney from inside and his co-worker went up on a ladder to clean the chimney cap and do whatever else a chimney sweep does up there.  They didn't leave a mess.  You would never have known that they were there.

The price was very competitive with other chimney sweeps and also very reasonable.

I'm going to call them again next year for my annual chimney cleaning.

They were very prompt.  They fit all of the work into the one day I wanted them to do it in.
