I realize from my conversation with the installer today that I am “out of luck” with this job; however, to me this is not the workmanship I would expect from the premium that was charged on an $85 vent. My expectation would be a properly sized vent to be installed — not present an option to leave my bathroom with a crooked vent install with a 1” perimeter needing to be patched. While the indemnification clause in their contract may prevent me from rebutting this financially, it is unfortunate that this is what NICHOLS felt comfortable leaving as a statement of work. I would have rather paid an up charge for the technician to get a larger vent at a local Lowe’s or Home Depot than create another bill to correct and paint my ceiling.

Ethan Mattison was our service technician provided by Nichols Electrical Services. He did an excellent job and was top notch in knowledge, professionalism, and communications. He worked efficiently and explained well each step. We would hire Nichols electrical Services again, without hesitation.

I gave 2 stars because the work itself seemed to be done well enough. I had a lot of clean-up of shavings from cutting plastic piping in my washer (maybe the lid could have been closed), the laundry tub, and every other surface in the work area except the floor. But my real complaint began when I went in the basement the next day and discovered that there was water from 3 new leaks. I called the company and a different gentleman came out. He basically denied any responsibility for two of the leaks as follows: main shut-off valve leaking - said they didn't touch it (completely a coincidence, I guess); and a leak into the floor above from around the area of a bathroom shower which he said could only be tracked and fixed by ripping up the floor (no thanks) - no idea. He did fix a leak at the end of the new waste pipe where the technician had neglected to put teflon tape on the cap. I hired someone else to come look at the floor leak and he surmised that when the technician tested the drain in the shower, he didn't notice the crack around the drain. He couldn't say if the work caused the crack, but to me it seems unreasonable that the work on that drain pipe was not related to the new crack at the drain. The technician was personable, but the person who came to investigate my concerns was decidedly not. I would never hire them again simply based on that. When a customer has concerns about work that's been completed and paid for, wouldn't you send a representative of your company who has decent personnel skills? Seems like they don't care.

The electrician Mike was pleasant, extremely polite & professional. He listened to our needs, explained everything, gave us a price & went to work. Mike quickly resolved the problem & even went back to his shop to pick up matching outlets. He definitely is 5 star & we would request him again.

Both electrucians and plumber professional, respectful: reasonable for all services; no pressure approach! Have used co several times: HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Tim came out to fix an electrical issue on my home I just purchased. He did an inspection of the property as a courtesy of their company and pointed out issues he seen that needed to be addressed soon and in the future. He not only fixed the original issue but also took pictures of the other issues and wrote them up and repairs needed so I can have as a reference when I’m ready to handle them. He was very professional, kind and priced fair.

Had Joe fix a tub drain faceplate and cap off the pipes to an laundry sink we were not using anymore. He thoroughly discussed options with me and then got to work. The jobs were done quickly and efficiently. Pricing was very fair. I love Nichols’ automated system for confirming appointments and their techs, including Joe, are always great. This was not the first time I’ve used them and it won’t be the last.

My son just bought his first home and doing some remodeling in his kitchen. He needed a plumber to install the new faucet. We had Plumber Joe Brennan from Nichols Electric & plumbing come to the house. He was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Not only was it a job well done, he was also an excellent teacher to the young apprentice with him. Will definitely hire him again!

I can't say enough good things about this company. The guys that did the work were on time, very polite, and the quality of the work was very good. I feel like the price was very fair. Frankly, it's hard to find a company like this.

Went great. They were able to schedule the work within a couple of weeks. The work was done quickly and neatly. The installers were courteous and professional. It was for the exact amount quoted (no hidden fees or prices). I am very satisfied.

It went extremely well. The highlight was Justin Hinkley who performed the work. Everything that has been said about him in other reviews is true. He is unusually polite and unusually skilled. He is also very good at talking you through what needs to be done.

I had Nichols Electric come out for two different plumbing jobs. Both times they let me know ahead of time when they were coming. I was able to see the tech that would be at my door on my text ahead of time. They were on time, and professional. Followed Covid safety protocols. They went above and beyond to do a good job and make sure I was happy with the result. I will continue to hire them in the future!

The process went exceptionally well. I found Nichols Electric through Angie's List. They responded to my inquiry promptly. Steve came out to our house in Parma about a week later to do an estimate. And, a month later, his team went to work, & completed the project over 2&1/2 days.

The two gentlemen from Nichols arrived promptly and completed the requested work in a reasonable period of time. I found their work well-done and thorough, and they conducted themselves in a cordial and professional manner.

Very well. Bob Tirabassi did the work at our house. Among other things, we asked him to change one outlet to GFI. Bob pointed out there was another outlet on the same line which already had GFI. Therefore, the outlet we thought needed GFI did not need it. We appreciated his honesty in saving us a bit of money.

Great. Joe took care of installing the conduit and Bobby did the electrical work. Bobby found a manufacturing defect in the circuit box and fixed it. Both gentlemen were pleasant and professional. I would hire them again.

It did not go at all. I requested a quote. Received a phone call from them that they did not work on homes built before 1950 so would not provide me with service. They need to include that fact in their advertising, and not waste genuine customers time.

Jay came earlier than expected which was great. My 47 year old house has a small, tight entry to the crawl space but Jay had no difficulty going down and checking out the pipes. He decided to remove the main toilet and used a large snake machine to unclog all the drains. This was really a major first. After a time, the other toilet and the kitchen sink water went down. Jay removed the pipe underneath the kitchen sink and used a smaller snake machine to unclog that. I also had him replace the kitchen sink strainer basket as the bottom of my other one was made of rubber and kept falling apart. Before he finished, he wanted to make sure every drain was in top-notch condition. He was fantastic, very professional, friendly, and kept me aware of everything he was doing. It is a 24/7 service, and when I phoned, the woman was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable, and deeply concerned about my emergency problem. I would definitely recommend them highly, especially Jay. I do have some electrical issues which will need done and will definitely contact Nichols in the future. Thank you so much for making my life easier and brighter. I can honestly say in the 47 years I've been in this house, the kitchen sink has not drained so fast. Angie's List was exceptional for my selection of a plumber.
