I was very happy with Steve. He was punctual, polite and professional. I no longer throw the breaker when vacuuming and feel safer now that the wiring is correct.

Steve contacted me promptly, arrived at the appointed time, fixed a fan that we thought was broken for good, and moved two electrical outlets. he worked quickly and efficiently. I would not hesitate to use Nichols Electric in the future and would recommend them to anyone.

Went great, Steve was great to work with and found out I just needed to use different light bulb. I was disappointed to hear I called him for light bulbs, but he only charged me for a service call and not any work which I appreciated. Even let me keep the 2 light bulbs and gave me a package of delicious nuts!

The fan itself was a salvage given to me by a friend. I didn't know if it worked. There was no overhead fixture in the ceiling and the wiring had to be accessed via a crawlspace that I knew existed, but had never entered. The team (Nichols and Nichols) were not only prompt, they were early. They assessed the situation, didn't complain about the horrible crawlspace and ignored my barking dogs. I know they had to create a hole in the ceiling and feed wiring, etc, but you wouldn't know it to see the finished job. Everything was completely cleaned up. All they left behind was a wonderful working ceiling fan with light fixtures. And a treat with their business card. I have several other electrical jobs planned for the future and I'll be calling Nichols Electrical again when it comes time to do them.

We signed up for the Big Deal and when we discussed the work with Kevin Nichols he told us that in his opinion we did not need to replace our panel box. We appreciate Kevin's honest.

The Nichols Electrical Contracting men were on time, very efficient and very professional. They asked me to confirm the length of the light from the ceiling before it was mounted to be sure it was hung the way I wanted it to be. They were polite at all times and careful not to damage the close surrounding walls as they set up their large ladder and worked. In addition, as a thank you gift, they gave me a package of delicious roasted almonds. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Nichols Electrical again in the future and highly recommend them.

Efficient and prompt as always. Steve came out for estimate and his son, who is apprenticing did the work and is well on his way to being as excellent as his dad. Cleaned up everything too! Finally have nice bright lighting in the kitchen.

The job went very well. From the first contact with Steve, he was very responsive. He contacted me within 15 minutes of initial call. Had free estimate consult within a few days of contact. On day of work, Steve and his son arrived exactly on time. They advised us when electric would be turned off so work could begin. They cleaned up the work areas. They got me scheduled quickly and arrived when they were expected. The electrician was knowledgable and helpful in answering questions. He found and disconnected a stray live wire, made some suggestions for safety upgrades and some other products. He was not pushy or overly sales pitching, just mentioned some options and left it at that.

They called in advance, showed up on time, were thorough and were quite professional. I will definitely hire them again and would refer them to anyone.

I went with them because I had used them before about two years ago and also they are highly recommended on a local show here in Rochester. Their promptness, their thorough investigation of the problem and their overall customer service just to make sure that what they fixed met my expectations is what stood out to me about them.

I gave the company some dates to do work. However he does not work on older homes. He gave me another recommendation to do the work.

I received a response almost immediately from the owner, called exactly when he said he would, set up an appointment and a representative was on time. We paid for in an inspection only, but had some concerns about some issues in the house. After the inspection the representative was clear that he couldn't do any additional work at that time, however he stayed for a long time to talk through our issues, make suggestions and even contacted the owner of the company for any questions he couldn't answer. He did make some suggestions on how we could handle some of the issues ourselves to save time (and money) should we have them come back out to further investigate. He was friendly and patient and definitely went beyond his responsibilities for the inspection we paid for. Would definitely use them again, and refer to anyone looking for an electrician.

Steve was very professional, knowledgeable, and diligent in making sure that all the details of the project went properly. Both he and his son, Steven, worked on this job, and impressed me with their quality workmanship. Steve had originally estimated coming out to the site on two different occasions due to the coordination required with the other contractors and suppliers. By the time the project was completed, he ended up coming out four different times, due to the changing time frames for the excavation work, the concrete pour, and the delivery of the new hot tub. Every time out, Steve and Steven worked non-stop to complete the work and took great care to clean up the job site. The final result was a high-quality installation in all respects which passed the independent electrical inspection without any issues. Steve impressed me as a man of integrity in the way he ran his business and focused on customer satisfaction. Obviously, he and Steven take tremendous pride in their workmanship and the reputation of their business. Steve was very helpful in explaining the various applicable sections of the National Electrical Code and making sure that his work and materials met the NEC and local codes. I would not hesitate to contact Nichols Electrical Contracting whenever I require other electrical work.

I was more than satisfied with the professionalism and service given. His son performed the work in my home and for a young man I was surprised at how neat and clean he left the area. I would highly recommend them to perform your electrical needs!

To start, from my initial call to final invoice, the entire experience was professional (I guess I now have a benchmak now in high-quality service.) To jump to the details.... Back in January I had another electrician troubleshoot issues with my motion sensor and floodlights. He advised me to purchase a new motion sensor (which I did) and could not identify the issue with the floodlights. He thought maybe I needed a new electrical line. They did not respond to my additional inquiries. Now in June, I found Nichols Electrical on Angie's list. They had a couple of appointment times to choose from, I chose Friday. Steve came on time and went immediately to work replacing my motion sensor and spent 5 minutes or so troubleshooting the floodlights. He quickly identified the issue as having to do with a blown GFI (why didn't I think of that?) and went ahead and replaced the GFI and identified an additional issue with one of the actual floodlights. I am more than happy that I once again have external lighting at my house and will definitely call Nichols for additional electrical work in the future.

The contractor was great! Do discuss what you need in detail. Although we had bought a special, when talking to me to set up the installation, he realized that it might not be the best fit. HIs honesty and advice were so greatly appreciated. The workmanship was excellent. I highly recommend Nichols Electrical Contracting and will use them again if needed.

It went fine, the fan isn't as powerful as I would have hoped. When someone is in the shower and the fan is on, condensation collects on the walls.
