We called the dealer when our Pontiac Vibe stopped accelerating. The dealer explained that it was a recall item AND told us that we could
have the car towed for free as that service was also covered under our insurance. We had the car towed to the dealer, who had the part replaced within a couple of days. So, in addition to doing a great job, the dealer made sure our repairs were free.
