On Track Garage Door Inc

This is a division of Whittaker Garage Doors, a custom door maker. On Track is their stock/consumer division. Casarra Cover and her husband run the place and they were great. Very responsive to our questions. Sent us elevations of what the finished door would look like. Installation happened as scheduled, and went very smoothly.

He was quick, timely, and very efficient. Everything seems to work well so far.

He was enthusiastic about the job. He was very neat and professional. He completed the job in the time frame and even lubed the wheels on the door.

The gears on my Sears garage door opener became stripped and would no longer raise my heavy wood door. I went to Sears and bought a similar replacement unit. I really did not want to attempt the job so I went to Angie's List and found Hunter Garage Door Co. of Amityville which was not too far from my house and had received excellent A ratings and has been in business for over twenty years. I spoke to the owner Mike who said he would replace everything in the garage door opener box (Opener unit itself, chain drive, security sensors with wiring, outside entry keyless pad, inside touch control pad, emergency release bracket/pull cord, etc.) at what I felt was a very fair price.
     Mike arrived promptly on time on the date we set up. He proceeded to take down all my old equipment and replaced everything that was in the box of the new unit. He really knows his stuff. He told me how the older unit probably became stripped because of the angle it was installed on and showed me how he would install the unit so as not to put extra stress on the chain drive or gears inside the unit. He also noticed that my steel pulleys were installed too far back and the cable was rubbing against the railing. He also showed me how one of the pulleys was very worn and would probably break down soon. I asked him to replace the two pulleys and adjust the location of them closer to the header of the garage door. He oiled all the  rollers and guiderails which eliminated all the noises I use to hear when opening and closing the door. He then showed me how the new remotes worked and helped me program the outside entry pad.
     When the job was over, he cleaned up the area he worked in and took away the old garage door unit. I asked him how much I owed him for putting in the new pulleys and changing their location and he said to just pay him for the two pulleys-$10. He didn't charge me anything for his extra labor!!
     This is an honest, very knowledgeable, very professional Garage door installer/repairman who I would highly recommend to anyone who is having a problem with or needs a replacement of their garage door or opener. Mike, if you read this-Thanks for a great job at a great price!!

They were the only ones that mentioned that. They were the only ones that had the door. I checked out two other doors that did not have a rebate. It was basically the same price. The other doors were exactly the same but they didn't have that rebate. He was clean and neat. He cleaned up. He was a very nice young man and I didn't have any problems. He came and did the job and was out of here, which is the way I liked. He was the only one with the door and the only one that brought up the rebate. The quality was very good. He was well spoken and told me everything.

We called the company blind from the yellow pages..What a find! Mike called back right away, we made an appointment and he came exactly on time. He didn't have a unit that I needed but came back again exactly on time the next day and replaced it. It is so refreshing to find someone who is honest, prompt and fair. He came to fix what I wanted and that was it..no trying to talk us into getting "new springs etc" from this man. Great, honest company, I can't rave enough!
