He supplied us with a very accurate and detailed quote for "proposed" work.  Unfortunately by time our insurance company decided to honor our claim J Lindsley's schedule was full.

Jim Lindlsey and his team did a phenomenal job on our roof! We have already recommended him to others. We had a failing roof which the prior owner had put over a worse roof so Jim's team removed the old roofs and decking and we replaced all of the decking. Jim himself came for the quote and then a final meeting once we had finalized our comparison of 6 potential roofers from Angies List. At the final meeting we added additional requests for new box vents and new clapboarding to replace the rotting ones. He has a great customer service focus and gave us a spot on competitive quote for the roof. The materials were excellent and he expained exactly what needed to be done and the rationale for his process and choice of materials. He was very patient and answered all of our questions and concerns.This is what homeowners need!
The team showed up and we had a foot of snow on the roof and it was only 30 degrees and these guys made it look easy. In the process they found that a vent pipe had compromised cap and they pointed it out to us and fixed what could have become a real issue. I don't believe he even charged us for the repair and if he did it was done at a minmal cost. The new sky lights are high quality and look beautiful. His team worked well with another contractor we had onsite installing 2 new bathroom exhaust fans to the roof. 
Our 1983 vintage house looks beautiful now and is sound again. I would recommend Jim Lindsley and his team to anyone needing their roof replaced! He does an incredible job. We are going to bring him back to quote some tree removal nextWe

I got 3 estimates for replacing my roof.  J Lindsley Roofing was not the cheapest but felt they were very competitive based on the material they used for their standard roofing jobs.  I compared their offering line by line with the other quotes. I then called back with a few questions on the particulars in the quote of which answers were provided for all.  I made my final selection and was advised how far out their jobs were to give me an idea of when the work could be accomplished.  I was not in any time crunch so being part of their normal schedule worked fine for me.  As I got closer I did call to check in to make sure I was still on the list and they advised that I would be getting another call in a week or so.  I received the call early August and they came within a day or two of that call with my acceptance of the date.  They did the job in 1 day, arriving after I left for work (7:30am) and were gone prior to the end of my work day which ends at 5pm.  I expected some clean up around the yard when I got home but there was literally none that I could see in my first walk around of the house inspecting the job.  Later I found little remnants of shingles in a few of the plant beds but literally small debris that was not noticeable.  I paid for the job in full upon completion.  A few months after the job was done, as part of some fall clean up, I was advised that my skylight edging was loose.  I called the contractor who put in the skylight which advised me to "call the roofer".  I was not alarmed with the loose edging to begin with and started with my contractor because he put it in.  I called J Lindsley (on a Saturday morning) and let them know what the issue was and they responded immediately to the issue.  There was no pointing fingers, just "we'll stop by and take care of it".  Someone came on that following Monday and secured the edging, then explained in a phone call what they did.  To this day, I believe the edging was comprised because of the initial install NOT because of something done during the roofing job.  I cannot prove this but that's my gut.  As advise to anyone shopping for a new roof, don't be sticker shocked by the price, it will not be cheap.  If you have a skylight, call it out to the roofer and ask them how they will be roofing around the skylight.  Check all the inside seals of the skylight after the roof has been done just in case.  I would recommend this company for any roofing job at least for an estimate.  Always ask for references of recent jobs as well as jobs 3-5+ years because you never know what can creep up as time goes by.

Arrived at the agreed time. Each worker went to there tasks. Roof stripped in about 2 hours. All materials put on roof as required. Workers polite and professional. Roof was finished by 5:00 pm. All waste picked up and removed. Roof look great

The work was performed in 2 days plus clean-up.

In both instances I was very pleased with every aspect of the work. The company and its owners/leaders are professional in every sense: they provided free and accurate estimates in terms of time and materials and performed the work as and when they promised. Any variations were promptly discussed and  corrected (e.g., a skylight was damaged inadvertently and though I was not present there at the time, I was informed immediately and the skylight was replaced same day without question and with the same quality.) The roofing crew were very well organized and worked steadily the whole time they were there so everything got done properly. They clearly knew what they were doing and had the work site organized very efficiently. All the crew were friendly and industrious - reflecting the style of their leadership. 
The crew that did the siding work were equally organized and hard-working with the same friendly and considerate manner. And like the roofing crew they did excellent work. The business owner was there daily to inspect the work quality and make any corrections. The result was a beautiful job done.
The other observation I would make is that every day the crews cleaned up the worksite so that everything was left in good appearance and condition.
It was the kind of organization and work ethic that one could certainly admire. I even thought it would be great to work with them!!

This contractor is amazing. Did the job in one day, with high quality materials and experienced workers. Extremely neat, nice and professional. They left the property clean of any debris, (looked amazing when they left! probably better then when they came). Not even a nail left behind. Solved all our roof concerns and explained the process and conditions of our roof and the warrenty so we are confident. We are extremly satisfied with our new roof. Many of our neighbors commented on the neatness and professionalism of the job and wanted to know his name and number. We gladly gave it out! His estimate was not the lowest.. but the first.... he explained so much that we knew what to ask the next contractors to bid... they did not have the good answers this contractor had. I am glad we went with this Contractor as we KNOW the job was done right, quick and with quality materials. Will call this contractor again for anything we can!!!

Very professional!  J. Lindsay stayed at the job until our roof was completed.  All employees were polite and respectful of us and our home.  Extra lumber was used and vent pipes were replaced at no additional cost.  The house was protected with tarps and plywood from possible damage, and all debris was hauled away.  We now have a beautiful new roof, and you could not tell that construction was done at our home that day.  Work was done quickly and professionally.  Great job.

When I called for the estimate the owner (Jim) answered which I thought was great. We agreed to meet for the estimate. He called ahead and was here 10 minutes early. He was very enjoyable to talk to and clearly a professional. The price was provided right away and we felt it was reasonable. Jim offered to order a square of the shingle we were thinking about using. The next day we decided on that color and as promised the following day he delivered some shingles and nailed a few in place to be sure we were happy with the choice. We made the appointment for the work which thankfully was a short wait. Then, with changes in his schedule he was able to come and do our roof almost a week earlier than planned. His crew (a great bunch of guys!) worked extremely hard and finished the entire job that same day. There were a few surprises under the old roof but everything was properly repaired. They took great pains to make sure the job was done right. These guys are very professional and don't cut corners. Everything was thoroughly cleaned up afterward and the new roof looks fabulous. I really don't think you could do better than J. Lindsley Roofing. 

They have worked for my company and me personally. Every time they are clean and are fast.
