IT WENT REALLY WELL. The owner seemed easiest to work with, was amenable to whatever WE wanted - one of the other companies TOLD us what we should have - for about $1300 more! At FRONTLINE FENCE, the owner is on-site for much of the job, working, busting @ss while making sure his workers are not cutting corners. I am not one to write reviews like this, but felt that this is a superior company, with a superior owner, who does a superior job, at competitive prices. The owner gained his experience at another larger local fence company, and then set off on his own. I admire that entrepreneurial spirit, and knew it would yield me a better job, because - like I mentioned above - he wants to build up and keep his Company's good reputation. Some of the other quotes we got was from a salesman who came out, measured, then disappeared. Laborers would do the job, for more money, but as far as we know, the owner would not have been there making sure the job was done precisely. One negative with Frontline, - although the owner works quickly and accurate, his workers were a little slow, and he had to stay on them to complete the job within the time promised. It WAS pretty hot and humid though, tough work. It did get done about a day after it was promised, so bear that in mind if you have a time-sensitive need. It didn't matter to us, as long as it was done correctly - and it sure was. He even offered to come out on a Sunday morning to finish it by himself, since we were having guests that afternoon. But it was just a small section left, plus a gate, out of view, so we didn't want to break up his weekend. But it says something about the owner and the company to offer to do that, on account of us having guests and him taking the pride that he wanted it done - and done right - even on a Sunday! So now it's been about 8 weeks since the job, so I wanted the wood to dry, and as wood boards go, have a chance to split as part of the fresh-wood drying process. Sure enough a few boards did split. BTW, I understand most - if not all - of the fence companies in CNY get their wood from the same mill, (somewhere else) so don't be hood-winked into a "we have better wood" sales-pitch. Anyway, the owner was out here the following Monday to replace the bad boards. Done in about 90 mins. - all done - and he left saying "you have my number - call me if you need ANYTHING". Oh - also a great warranty, too. He stands behind his work. (WOW - NOW I KNOW WHY I NEVER WRITE THESE THINGS! SO LONG, IF YOU WANT TO DO IT RIGHT! ( but this guy / company deserves it...) Lastly - although based in Fulton, these guys service the entire CNY area, and I found with fuel prices high, they want to get 'er done in as few trips a possible ! Enjoy your new frontline fence. We ARE!
