Derek's work is at high quality and quick. Also very responsive and supportive. For hard wood floor installation, his work for overall things such as reinstallation of trims, fence and stairs was great. Just one note is that his style requires customers to order materials by themselves (not sure if it's normal or not). So, I needed to be knowledgeable about the work sufficiently to list and choose what's needed, which was not easy to me.

From the start the installer had difficulties fitting the new shower surround in the bathroom. HE PUT A DING IN MY HALLWAY. I had asked him to stop the job, but he said he was good at making things work. The install did not go well - he dropped the shower surround breaking off the corner and he put a ding in the wall surround but covered it with spackle. In the bathroom the sheet rock was removed on one wall. He asked if I would purchase new sheet rock I said yes, but then told me he didn't have room in his truck to pick it up, so he reused the sheetrock and his partner taped and spackled it. I asked if he was coming back to retape and spackle, and he said no. The shower arm needed to be moved higher, but he didn't have any pix pipe to extend the copper pipe, so he left it resting on the top of the shower wall. We did have a drain leak which he fixed after he told me he was not a plumber. There was a 2 inch gap between the new shower surround and the tile floor. The shower surround was never caulked. The sides of the surround where left unfinished. When we used the shower for the first time the hot water line was cold and the cold water line hot. Mr. Starke was suppose to install shower doors, but they weren't delivered I with held 200.00 pending door installation. When the doors came in I did not call Mr. Starke to install I used the company installer where I purchased the shower doors. When he came he saw the work that was done and told me he could fix the plumbing issues . He was a plumber he removed the wall panel to fix the hot and cold-water lines and it was then we discovered we had a leak. We would never have known we had a leak because it was behind the wall surround. He fixed the shower head pipe by adding pix line to it. He repaired the leak. Finished the sides of the surround with PVC Moulding and fixed the gap between the shower and floor. He told me Mr. Starke should have moved the surround by using wood to push the surround closer to the floor edge eliminating the gap which would fill with water and destroy the floor over time. Mr. Starke was notified by emailed by me and said because I choose to use a different installer he wasn't liable for the extra expenses incurred. I told him because he told me he wasn't a plumber I choose a plumber to fix his work - Why would I not use a plumber to repair the leak the water lines and caulk a unit which wasn't caulked by Mr. Starke. All of this work left undone would have caused water damage and mold problems. The plumbing bill from Security Supplies installer was $1,24l.20 to repair Mr. Starkes work. Mr. Starke is not a plumber and should not be on your list for Bathroom shower installs. This is my first time using Angi's list and I do hope your business will fix this for me. I am a senior consumer who trusted Angi's list and Mr. Starke for a profession job.

The job was not done correctly...it leaks and pools in the shower they did...it's been a month and no attempt to come back and fix it
