Furniture - Sales
I am disgusted with my experience at this location. We went in in
December to purchase a loveseat configuration with a console in the
center and 2 extra recliners for our basement. We were told we'd likely
have them by Super Bowl Sunday.
Fast forward to mid-February and
our chairs come and a sofa with a console..the delivery people were
confused as they cannot attach the console to the sofa...the salesperson
had written the wrong thing even though I'd POINTED to what we wanted
IN THE SHOWROOM. We reject the sofa and keep everything else and were
told that the replacement pieces would be "rushed" with a delivery of 3
weeks. I hear nothing and have to keep calling even though I was told
that I would be kept in touch with. I call corporate who tells me that
they basically have no bearing on that location.
I was told it
would arrive in warehouse on March 26 (after being told end of
April..that's 3 weeks from mid Feb, no??) and I called on March 28 and
wanted to know why I didn't have a status update. The manager, Marie,
told me that she was entitled a day off and she'd asked someone else. I
let her know that her store dropped the ball on this transaction
completely and I wanted to know how much I would have to spend to get
good customer service. Every time I called, I was rushed off the phone
and dismissed. I could have had Ikea furniture by now with less hassle!
The manager had the NERVE to insist this somehow was partially my
fault...is she kidding? Shouldn't a salesperson know how to write up a
sale? I was happy to purchase something made in the USA and the seats
are comfortable but this is unacceptable.
P.S. The woman who calls with delivery information is awful. She acts like you are going to steal the furniture off the truck.
