First of all, the delivery guy walked across my lawn, tracking in snow and mud that ended up getting all over the brand new carpet that I had just had installed in my bedroom. Also, the store gives you a 30-day guarantee to change any pieces or return pieces if you're not happy with them and I found out that they had a lower box spring that would make it easier for me to get onto the bed, as the one I originally ordered was a bit too high for me. I called them and waited on hold for so long that I had to end up hanging up because I had to go to work. I finally reached Customer Care and asked to have them deliver the lower box spring and take the old one away. They told me that the only way I could do this was for them to give me a refund for the first box spring, and for me to come back into the store and re-order it there, even though I already knew what I wanted, and to pay them another $119 for them to redeliver it. I wouldn't shop there again.
Description of Work: I ordered a mattress from them and had them deliver it to my house.

went to the stor and was told to call the 800 number
Description of Work: we bought a couch a couple years ago. it is still in ok shape but we lost 2 bolts that hold part of the base together. they said they dont offer replacement parts without a service call which would cost a couple hundred dollars. i asked for the bolts because the ones at the store didnt fit exactly. im not paying that for some bolts

They were fantastic. They must have called me two days before it happened, they called me seven times just to tell me they were going to get to the ferry freight office by 6.30 in the morning and they kept checking. It was excellent service. I was amazed that they were able to coordinate all of this. Their service was really outstanding. They had a very small window to get to the freight office, so they were there by seven O clock in the morning and they had to get on to the boat, so they must have called me every half an hour for two days, just to let me know every step of the way of what’s happening. Of course when it finally was shipped over by boat and unloaded, it was well protected and nothing was uncovered or damaged, so I was very happy with their service. I think their shipping is ten percent of the cost. So whatever they deliver is ten percent of the cost of the purchase. I only spoke to them on the phone. After it was delivered, they called me again to find out if everything was satisfactory with the delivery but I never met any of them. I was not there at the freight office, when they came in, so I never personally met anybody but the people on the phone were always very accommodating and professional. The price was excellent.
Description of Work: They had to ship a large sofa out to a freight office and then freight out to go on a ferry and it had to be all picked up. I went to their store in Farmingdale and they shipped from Connecticut and it’s a chain, so even though they had to ship way out on to Long Island, they shipped from Connecticut and it still got there at 6.30 in the morning to put this stuff on the boat.

The living room set is falling apart. No one can sleep on the mattress with any comfort. The recliner is also uncomforted . Bob 's prices may be low. But,I and my family have found them to be of low quality and uncomfortable.
Description of Work: Sold me a living room set. Sold a bob-o-pedic mattress. And, sold me a recliner.

The Good Proof warranty was to cover any damages that may occur within 5 years. We had problems with the furniture and found that the varnish was coming off and there was a scratch on it. I was dusting the furniture and found that the varnish and color came off with the cloth I was using. I reported to Bob?s and they informed it was not a manufacturing defect, but I needed to contact Goof Proof. When Goof Proof asked for specifics as to what caused the accident, I did not know. Goof Proof told me it was a manufacturing defect. Bob?s says it isn?t responsible because the individual they sent out determined it was not a manufacturing defect. The finish is all sticky and comes off in your hand. Goof Proof won?t cover the damage since it wasn?t an accident a. I am stuck between the two of them. They won?t refund my money (Bob?s) or honor the warranty (Guardsman is the warranty company). Neither party will take any responsibility. I just want my furniture fixed at this point.
Description of Work: We bought $5,000 worth of furniture from Bob’s Discount Furniture store (bedroom set). We also bought a Goof Proof warranty through Guardsman at the same time ($269.99).
